I went here for a few years because it was convenient. It was fine for awhile but the place was going downhill. It takes forever to get your teeth cleaned about 3 hours. I would show up 15 minutes early and the student would still be late and then I would sit around for an hour after that before they would even get started. One of the problem's is, if you get a "slow student”, the school will not give you another one. The bottom line is that the student is paying more than you. I would highly recommend reading through the bad reviews, that is what they are here for. This is a place where most people that don’t have dental insurance come to get dental work done cheap. They would ask me if I had dental insurance all the time. If I did at that time, I wouldn’t have been going there. I ended up getting insurance and now go somewhere else and I'm in and out in 45 minutes. I would very highly recommend looking around and doing the same. You can find good dental insurance for about $20-$30 per month.
What can I say. I had a dental appointment. Following the 'shot' my student and the instructor had an in depth discussion about a problematic tooth. It was determined the tooth needed to be pulled . The oral surgery department was able to fit me into their schedule. Had nitrous oxide laughing gas, although, I wasn't laughing, blood pressure cuff on my arm and an oxygen meter on my finger. About 15 minutes later my tooth was extracted without any pain. Creighton Dental University is a top of the line college.. very professional .. students are monitored by excellent instructors. Prices are reasonable as well.
Dom is my dentist and she's fantastic. Miranda pulled my wisdom teeth and did an amazing job especially considering how difficult one was to extract. My only folly with Creighton is the lack of after-care following my surgery. I've been in agonizing pain since and the emergency line has just told me to "wait it out" with no real treatment for pain or other suggestions. I realize that students probably can't prescribe pain meds but there needs to be something in place for people who had unique circumstances and surgeries where a doctor can step in and do something about it.
I have some concerns about this place. My daughter was tossed around by multiple reps, who scheduled her appts for incorrect days. 1 The front desk agent Martha has a strong accent & wasn't clear on what she was trying to say. Luckily, I can speak Spanish. Also, she likes to throw out random patient names when she's searching for records. Apparently, this is common with her. I really feel they are violating their patients rights. HIPAA violation She asked for my daughters dob & last name before throwing out these random names. It's not hard to put one with the other. 2 My daughter was seen for an exam & to this day they have yet to bill the dental insurance. We called the insurance, they have no record of receiving anything from Creighton. However, we finally started to get this moving along. 3 I tired to pass along my concerns to Beth C. who said she was a manager, she sounded impatient the entire time. I even mentioned this to her. In the end she wanted to end the call, even though nothing was resolved. She even insisted that we go somewhere else if we were not happy. Which made it obvious that she didn't care that she was losing a patient and wanted us to go away. End result, we will be meeting with the director and try to pass along our concerns. We will aim for no more appointments with Creighton.
This is a dental school. They do regular dental appointments and are supervised by others. They are very nice and not afraid to ask questions, both to there instructors and to the patients. I look forward to more visits. Not many can say that about a dental appointment.
I've been going to Creighton since they were on the campus. They're good to me. They made my dentures, Medicare covered the whole procedure. I'd recommend Creighton.
When you call to make appointments make sure they put it on the right date you asked for. Because this place is known to not do their job right. You’ll miss appointments because you were scheduled on a different date that you obviously couldn’t make it to.
I’ve had several appointments here over the course of the last couple of months, and a few more to follow still. It’s been a very time consuming process because these are students, but what I can say is that the wait to get my smile back to health has already been SO worth it. they’ve done way more for me than any dentist I’ve paid $1000s to in the past. The students and instructors have been nothing but kind and understanding of my fears and concerns, and I’m really excited to see the end of this journey. I already feel like I have a set of brand new teeth. I ate a piece of a cookie tonight without my whole mouth being in agonizing pain for the first time in YEARS. I don’t think I will ever be going anywhere else for my dental work.
I went there with my cousin since he had a dental appointment. We checked him in and the receptionist said we are checked. I don’t remember the receptionist name, but she spoke Spanish tooI’m not trying to be racist, just pointing out the person. While waiting, she came and said the dentist will call us in 5mins. And after waiting for an hour she comes and hands us a paper; saying the appointment isn’t today it’s tomorrow at 2pm. What was she doing when she checked us in for appt. Doesn’t the screen shows the date and time of appt. We traveled half an hour to get to the dental. She wasted our time as if we have all the time of the world. I could clearly see she was lying to us. If the appt was tomorrow she should have told us right during checking process. We would have come home without any complains. But she made us wait and wait.
Spoke to a lady in the office I believe named Kelly just this morning about trying to make an app for their emergency dental. The day before a office lady stated I needed to call exactly at 8am to get in on Friday. This lady I talked to this morning was bluntly rude and said it was full and that whoever I spoke to yesterday lied to me because supposedly I needed to call at 7:30 am on the Dot. Awful experience especially for someone in pain. If you don't like your job get a new one! Also did not say or help with information on how to get into on another day.
