My family recently had to use the services of Cremations America and the people who came to our home were AMAZING! It was the middle of the night we were all distraught, and the gentleman and lady that came in were so kind, gentle, caring with our loved one. The little touches they did warmed my heart and impressed me so much! For such heart wrenching time, they showed care and tenderness to our loved one that words can never convey our thankfulness of their reverence. The office team were respectful during our meetings and very helpful with suggestions of what we would need and communicated well with my family.
During a very difficult situation Cremations America was able to help us promptly and efficiently. Thank you!
I would definitely recommend Cremations America if you are looking for just what the name suggests, a service that provides for respectful and affordable cremation of a loved one. Josie, the funeral director, and her staff took care of transport of my mother's body after she passed away, all necessary paperwork, and of course, cremation of her remains. All of that was included in their base fee, which was very reasonable. There were no surprise costs, other than what we were informed of: A small fee for extra death certificates, and the cost of whatever urn we chose for her ashes. Those were reasonable, too. Most importantly, Josie was very patient and reassuring to us, and there was absolutely no attempt to up-sell us to anything else. Since they don't handle burials, that was a separate arrangement we made with the cemetery we chose, but Osceola Memory Garden had no problem with us having Cremations America take care of the cremation, and then bringing the ashes to them for interment, which of course was a separate cost completely. Although you should probably check with the cemetery you choose to be sure they would allow outside cremation... not sure if all of them have the same policy. It's probably worth noting that since Cremations America seems to try hard to keep their overhead down, they work by appointment, not walk-ins, which I think we were not aware of initially. While I think that their phones are staffed 24-7, they keep typical business hours in the office, and prefer to make appointments ahead of time. That said, they are pretty flexible with appointment times, so it's not really burdensome to just call ahead. If anything, it was great, because then we had the full attention of the funeral director while we were there, and all paperwork, etc. was prepared ahead of time. Cremation may not be for everyone, but if it is, I can only share that we had a very good experience with Josie and her staff.
I am so thankful to have found Cremations America Central Florida. Losing my father was extremely difficult for me. During the entire time from the moment that Cremations America was contacted to pick up my father, to any issues that came up along the way, and to this very moment, Josie has made herself available every step of the way! She is amazing, extremely professional, and just about the most caring person I have met on this journey. There are not enough words to explain how appreciative I am of the treatment I have received from Josie, she really cares and knows exactly what she is doing and what needs to be done! Josie, thank you for everything!
