Creston is an unstaffed Amtrak intercity train station in Creston, Iowa. Amtrak shares the building with the BNSF Railway, which uses the building as a yard office. The station is served by the California Zephyr. The Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad (CB&Q) constructed the station in 1969.The current station replaced a larger adjacent depot constructed in 1899 (that is on the NRHP), designed by CB&Q staff architect Walter Theodore Krausch. That depot still stands; in 2009 then-Governor Chet Culver proposed moving Amtrak back into the older facility.
