If I could give this place a 0 star rating I would. My brother had a seizure and we were in the waiting room and the area with the soft couched were open. We went to sit down and the went got security saying we aren't allowed to sleep. Kmsl.. these people at 3am have no decency, no respect, no compassion at all. The worst experience of my life with a hospital hands down. Safe to say I snapped on everybody and proceeded to head home. People going through some and they come with that bullish.. not me not mine. I recommend going anywhere but here.
Great experience. ED wait time was less than 45 mins. Staff was kind, quick, and explained what was going on. Dr. Lawana pin-pointed the exact cause of my grandmother's pain and treated it with nonconventional ways. She was excellent in care. Dr. Lawana was training a resident that day and they both were great. Thank you for finding the "root" sciatic nerve joke to our problem.
The staff is awesome, Everyone was very professional and nice. I witness how attentive the staff was with other patients. The medical team that provide service on the day of my visit were incredible. Each and every one of them. From the beginning to the end. Everyone did a fantastic job. The receptionists who did my registration was so caring and discreet when talking to me. I didn't feel embarrassed or belittle. It really made me feel comfortable and set the bar on how the rest of my visit would be like. And of course the Doctors and Nurses! "Knocked it out the ball park "! With keeping me updated and explaining certain things in a understandable way and tone. Letting me know they care and wanted the best outcome for me. Most Importantly this hospital was extremely clean and tidy.
The wait was long but I didn’t care. I knew something was seriously wrong. I was passing a kidney stone. Staff was incredible!!! From the front desk, nurses, nurse practitioner to the doctor. Everyone was excellent and had incredible bed side manor. I was scared to go to baptist again b/c baptist east treated me so poorly when I had stones in 2015. Great place. Great staff. I know the wait is long but don’t give up, once you get back there they take care of you.
This hospital treated us politely. I have ONE complaint but it is a complaint that changed broke our hearts. We got a nurse who went into to great detail about his past experience as an ER/ICU nurse from another hospital and his decade of experience. My son was in very serious condition and this brought me comfort. He explained what he was doing, always explaining how it was done that way in the hospital he had come from. I asked him if my son was going to be okay and he assured me he would. He explained that my son would be transferred to a hospital with an ICU but he would make it. I stepped out into the hall and called my husband who they had made wait in the car, and my other two adult children, that they expected he would live. Within 10-minutes the doctor came in and explained his condition and gave us little hope of survival. She explained if he made it 48 hours it would be telling, but she could not even say there was a good chance of that. I had to go back to the hall and call my family again and tell them the nurse and the doctor did not agree and to expect him to die. My son died.
Had a terrible visit there dealt with a nurse named Holly and she needs to be retraining in how to treat people. If I could give them negative stars I would.
My experience here was the worst!! The older lady at the front desk whose name starts with a G has terrible customer service skills, was just out right rude… The triage nurse he had terrible bedside manor… This is as my first experience with this group and not oh boy I see what certain people work nights but your customer device skills should be better than this!! I wish this review could be based on individuals because the team in the back were awesome!! However due to the rudeness at the introduction I can not give more than one star!!
The way Crittenden handled my nephew last week was fantastic. Background: He's been unwell for several months, with shortness of breath, dizziness, chest pain. You would think it was a cardiac issue, but it wasn't. He'd been going to his primary care for blood tests and to get set up for other testing, and two months ago he was sent to Regional One for severe anemia . He required 2 units of blood. Regional One ran some tests, but didn't know the cause of him being so low on blood. Fast forward to last week: He had to go to the ER again with the same problems as before. This time he was also nauseated. Baptist Crittenden got him back immediately and ran several more tests than Regional One. They found a large mass in his colon. He did not have the typical symptoms of colon cancer, so this was a shock. The nurse, Pedro, was awesome. Excellent communication, knowledgeable, professional, and skilled. The two doctors, Locke and the other physician was a male POC can't remember his name, spoke with my nephew with the utmost care and honesty about the situation. My nephew needed to be hospitalized, but no beds were available in Memphis. To our blessing, there was ONE room available in the entire state, and they got him in at NEA Baptist, where he had emergency surgery. So i thank the Crittenden team for their thoroughness, tact, forthrightness, and urgency. The got the ball finally rolling to help my nephew.
Avoid this minor medical clinic at all costs. It is NOT a hospital. I wouldn't even consider it an urgent care facility. Our healthcare system is in turmoil. We should be terrified. They had a total of 2 nurses on duty tonight in the entire hospital. It was a Saturday. My husband chose to come here because he was in excruciating, escalating pain and it was close to home. Big mistake. He was eventually diagnosed with kidney stones after they did a CT scan and a UTI by a physician's assistant in this ER. He never once saw a doctor or even a nurse for that matter because they had no other medical personnel in the ER besides the PA! He was never given anything for pain while there. He was told they didn't have any rooms available and he was lead to believe it would be quite a long wait hours, days, never before one was ready. He felt almost encouraged by the staff to go home rather than wait so he did. He was sent home by the PA with a stack of paperwork and some prescriptions. A note said he could return to work on Monday. I rushed to the Walgreens then back home with the bags of meds he was prescribed. My husband was moaning and squirming on the couch in terrible pain. I opened the bags and found that the PA had prescribed him 10 tablets of Tylenol #3 for his pain and some Flexaril ? which is a muscle relaxer. Also, he got an antibiotic and something to break down the stones so he could pass them. The Tylenol wasn't nearly strong enough to help his level of pain and only 10 pills didn't last 24 hours. Why he was given a muscle relaxer, I have no idea. Useless! This was our first and last time going there for treatment of any kind. Period. You've been made aware. We need to be concerned folks.
This hospital is a joke. I just waited 3 hours in the waiting room while being unable to hold down water. I stated I was worried about being dehydrated they said nothing about. The doctor finally sees me for fever body aches chills pain while breathing and headaches and he literally states I don't know. Then I waited 2 hours for discharge papers that never came I finally left.
