*** UPDATE - After we were gone a few weeks, the Crooked Creek RV Park at Grand Lake, OK emailed us a bill for electric for our one-week stay. We have been RVing for many years and we have NEVER encountered an RV park that DID NOT DISCLOSE this to us prior to or any time during our stay or even after we left...until we received the bill. Keep this in mind if you happen to stay at this campground, as every site does have metered electric. Each site is either pull through or back in with full hookup and propane piped to it. All cement roads and pads with side grass between each site. There are three cabins available. A pub/restaurant is at the entrance with three washers and three dryers available to use at a cost of $2.00 to wash and $1.50 to dry. There is a yurt-style, roomy tornado shelter with bench seating inside. A dog park and plenty of dog waste bags available in a couple locations through the park. During our visit, a new section was being constructed for future added guests. Whoever owns this park put a lot into it. And now for some of our personal thoughts and suggestions for this park to go in the direction we believe the owner would like it to go. The pub/restaurant is very smoky. We did not go there for this reason. It really does not add to the experience of the park. The laundry area needs work or put it somewhere else. It smelled like smoke being attached to the pub/restaurant, was very dirty, plus one washer was out of order and another we used did not wring out clothes. We spent an additional $8.00 more than we should have to get clothes done when we could have gone to a better place. This is not a feature for the park unless it is corrected. Also, there should be a manager or employee on-site. There is no office and while the girl who answered at the beginning was responsive, she followed up by ghosting us when we requested our laundry money as a refund. We felt like we had no support at the park after that incident. Older RVs that are worn down should not be allowed in the park, unless you are going for full time residents only. Barking dogs one day it was constant for over a half a day and dogs off leash need to be controlled. Rules need to be established and need to be followed. So we were a bit confused on what this park was to become. Will it be a typical below average park in the future? It seems like a waste of money to develop it with the cement roads and pads for that to occur. We have high hopes for it in the future but it needs a bit more care to get there.
Clean and quiet. All sites are paved and have water, sewer and electric. The price was good. Alex who we talked to on the phone was very sweet and helpful. We would stay there again.
Stayed here for 6 weeks summer of 2020. Manager is very nice. All concrete pads. Nicely landscaped. Pet friendly. Well maintained. Storm shelter on site. Small laundry. Excellent wifi. Long timers are very friendly. Grocery, Hardware store, bank, Dollar store very close. Walmart about 30 miles away. Very quiet
It is a very nice park and the manager is very nice, but we was told the internet was good and we could barely get a signal, we pulled out on the 31st and went back on the 1st to pay our electric bill and the camp host was rude to us, because we waited till the next day to tell him we left, we paid for 1 month I’m not sure why I needed to tell him we was leaving because he thought we was still there. And also we always pick up after our dogs and the neighbors would let there dog out unleashed and it would use the bathroom on our space. Nice park but I won’t stay here again just because the host was so rude.
Quiet and clean park that is well lit with what appeared to be security cameras on site. The camp host was very friendly and booking was easy even when we had to change our dates. The park is dog friendly with receptacles conveniently placed . This park offered propane hookup which we did not use but found very convenient. It is located behind a pub which we did not visit due to Covid but appeared to be reputable. There seem to be several long term residents with some having dog pens but sites as a whole were maintained . No tables or fire pits provided. Free good WiFi. We will definitely return. No military or other discounts were honored.
Very beautiful forested campground with many camping options. Splash Park and playgrounds
This is a fairly new RV park with 50 spots. The road and each spot are concrete and each spot has 30 amp, 50 amp, and two 120 volt outlets, propane line, and sewer dumps. It is $35 per night or $125 per week. There are monthly and annual rates. There is a bar/restaurant beside the park, laundromat across the street, and a grocery up the street. It is nice and peaceful and the sunsets across the street are beautiful.
Great place in the middle of nowhere more or less around 300$per month not including power- not much around. The real, and basically, only issue here, was that the address the actual street address is NOT VERIFIABLE . In other words, you may not receive any mail, nor can you receive any packages from online orders or otherwise. If this is not a problem for you, and you're ok with driving 26 miles to Wal-Mart or a quarter mile to the local store, it's prefect. It is a well tended quiet area where we all feel quite at home and safe. Everyone stays to themselves which is nice, and its very quiet here. The camp host, jerry, is more than helpful and very friendly. Over all we were glad to have stayed other than the inconvenience of no actual street address we've been quite pleased. Would stay again, but for a shorter period as the drive to more amenities are inconvenient for our needs.
Best place we ever had stayed. Quit and very little drama. I've met some awesome people. The owner's are very kind hearted and great people.
Just pulled in to find NO DIRECT TV as addvertized on their web site. Nice looking park, clean, cement pads, good hookups. Asked host about no TV and she said everybody streams or has their own satelite. Not the answer I was looking for. If you do not provide tv take it off your website! John Bruggeman
