This places has it all!! My wife and I were in San Rafael looking for apartments and we were told to check out Novato area. By luck we got lost off an exit which happened to be the exit for the Crooked Oak apartments. This was on a Saturday late in the day and we just happened to run into the maintenance man Luis. He was so nice and told us all about the community here and we fell in love with it. He told us to come back and meet Sophia whom is the manager. She understood that we needed a apartment but not until the coming month and with curtain amenities. Sophia was able to find us a unit that not only met everything we wanted but also would be available when we needed it. Since we still were living in Nevada at that time she was able to do everything for us by email. Sophia made our move so easy and painless. Now the property is gorgeous with wildlife everywhere to see. Yet the community is so quiet and peaceful. Very well maintained and there is plenty of parking with garages. If you want the best in everything this is the place to live. Give Sophia a call and you will love it here.
Extremely happy with our new home at Crooked Oak! Gina the property manager was extremely professional and patient answering all our questions. She was with us every step of the way to ensure we were happy. The property is stunning backing up to Loma Verde Preserve with ocean views from our patio! Beautiful heated pool and hot tub along with a fitness center to encourage healthy living. We couldn’t be happier and DEFINITELY recommend Crooked Oak for your new home!
Crooked Oak Apartments are an amazing, safe, and quiet place to live. The apartments are nice and the amenities are great. Out of all the choices we had for living in Marin County, what really made our decision was the great apartment manager Erin. She was so friendly, helpful, and professional that we really felt comfortable with signing a lease at Crooked Oak.
I have had a wonderful time living here, just moved in 6 weeks ago and have been taken care of. It really is the management that makes to complex. I had kind of lacking management at my last place and then a couple months before I moved out they got a new manager and he was making some good changes but I had already moved on in my mind. Most of the bad reviews here are based on the management so you have to keep that in mind. That being said, Laura was the manager when I was trying to move in here and she seemed really sweet but made a faulty promise to me and was lagging on getting construction workers to finish the work on the wall which delayed my move in like 3 weeks but she was on her way out the door so, who knows. When the temp guy got here he really helped me out and was professional and effective. Then when Gina got here right before I ended up moving in she really made me feel comfortable that things were getting done and I was high on her priority list. And that woman is a powerhouse she gets lots done and is communicative, letting me know specifically what is happening. She is also temp but is goin to vet the next person and I trust her judgement so we'll see who shows up. Even though people keep leaving this company does a good job of making sure things get done and I know that they are working on improving the property, they just got all new windows it's 95 degrees outside but 79 in my apartment and I haven't run the air since last night. Also Gina said she is going to get the grounds power washed and other things are happening. They are also working on their customer service which is positive. The one thing I don't really like are the generators outside. I guess that goes with central air, I didn't know that, they kind of rumble but that's gold plated. The way the complex is set up makes it feel really private and my neighbors keep to themselves and are respectful and cheery. I like that there is a light in almost every room, and lots of sun if you want it. Overall after 6 weeks I absolutely love living here. There are lots of animals and hummingbirds around being by the preserve. My maintenence requests have always been handled promptly. And after all the looking I did all over this county for two months I definitely found the best one.
Crooked Oak is a community of beautiful apartment homes in Southern Novato. The views of Loma Verde Preserve are spectacularly visible from all of my third floor windows. The amenities are perfect for me with very little time to run my busy life - dishwasher, full-sized washer/dryer, valet trash service it’s true! Your trash is picked up every night directly outside your door!, and even air conditioning somewhat unusual in Marin, although the architecture is such that balmy breezes maintain a pleasant temperature on all but the hottest 100 degree days. And not just a carport, I’m enjoying the safety and convenience of an attached well-lit garage. The apartments are beautifully designed to facilitate movement around the space while offering architectural privacy - a must in community living. Special recognition to Gina Toth, Property Manager, whom has been managing the community and keeping things running in shipshape order. Evidence of Gina’s effectiveness can be seen from her detailed explanations and attention to detail, to the well-kept landscaping, and beautiful appearance and functionality throughout the community. Lovely place to live!
We were looking into apartment options and came across Crooked Oak at Lima Verde Preserve. Although we are not moving in because we found a house to move to instead the management was incredibly helpful and sweet! My first experience was with the call center and they were very professional and helpful taking down all my information. Then Erin Solis, the property manager in Novato was an absolute delight and pleasure to work with. She gave me her honest opinion and helped me talk through all scenarios to help me find the best option. She answered all my questions and didn’t rush me. She then followed up with me a few days later to make sure I had all my questions and follow up questions answered. She was kind and reassuring. During this stressful time in our lives it was incredibly helpful to to talk to someone so patient, thoughtful and professional. She deserves a raise! Thank you Erin!
We have lived at Crooked Oak Apartments for over a year now. Our lease is just running out we signed a 13 month lease and we are going to renew to stay at this property. Erin and Holly in the office are always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that we are happy and any issues that arrive are fixed in a timely manner. Our washing machine broke while I had a load in and Erin was able to get ahold of Alex, our maintenance supervisor, and had the problem fixed within the hour. I was nervous about my clothes sitting in a broken dryer overnight but Alex and Erin ensured that it was fixed immediately! I would definitely recommend living here, Erin makes you feel like her number one priority always! Thank you!
I lived in this place for 2 years and I can say that his location is great, close to the freeway. calm and peaceful place. but the organization is terrible. you can hardly ever speak to the manager. neighbors park in your garage and you can't do anything but call the police. many use marijuana and it smells like marijuana because of some neighbors. if you need to replace something in your apartment, go yourself and buy or else wait for 3 months for them to order. make your choice. anyway, very expensive place, gym nothing works, and the pool heater never works.
Just moved in, but my experience has been pretty good so far. I worked mainly with Rochelle, who has helped me so much throughout the process.
