Cross Creek is now part of a chain of Applebrook campgrounds. They do not seem to care about you as a person but rather than a number. I used a link to check in that they sent to me in an email that had my site assignment on it and a map highlighting how to navigate to it. They want you to subscribe and use the "campers" app that has not been updated for 2 years. And also the terms of agreement just did not set well with me as it was too invasive of my privacy. I did not download it. Therefore we had to make a trip to the office to even get to see and speak with a person after finding our site and setting up camp. Not very friendly staff behind the counter when asked if there were brochures about the area. We were informed that they did not have any and would not be getting any in stock. Never given any activity calendar or asked any questions about our site. If you do not care for campfires do not go here. The whole campground smelled so strongly of campfire smoke we could not go out at night. It would filter in on our A/C. This is our second visit to Cross Creek and it will be our last. Nearby activities: Never did make it to Columbus to explore but Delaware did not disappoint. Downtown active and First Friday's are a blast. Great breweries and Mi Cerrito Mexican was off the chart some of the best food we have ever had. If you like Sangria's try the Berry Sangria! Easton short distance away with a very upscale shopping experience with Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co, Gucci, etc. Grocery shopping in abundance with Kroger and Meijer being the biggies.
They offer only 4 primitive sites that you can pop a tent up. We loved our site it was large and had a nice secluded area at the back for the tent to be. The only problem is that you can't stay more than 3 days. We loved it so much we wanted to stay 2 more days. They become really aggravated if you don't leave quickly, as well. Noteworthy details: It was beautiful and all of the other R.V. owners were friendly.
Very nice and clear camp ground super friendly staff pool was awesome and had life guard A+++loved the camp store made it so nice to have the forgotten items available and a treat for the kids. had rain in my leaky tent used the laundry it was better than back home A+++ shopping is not far away and Columbus is short drive and we had a special treat Christmas in July Santa stopped by to take pictures with the kids. All around one the best camp grounds I ever stayed at Nearby activities: State park close by Polaris shopping complex not far. Columbus short drive Safety: Very safe feeling here everyone looks for the kids Noteworthy details: Large pavilion with activities planned Nice playground for the kids volleyball area, tennis courts large pool with lifeguard. Nicely stocked camp store with ice cream for the kids and super friendly staff the sites are layed out nice power and water and sewer available
Jeff and I spent the week at Cross Creek in a rental camper because it was so close to the Alum Creek Marina where our boat is docked. We found the resort's location so close to Polaris area of Columbus great for meeting family at Top Golf and other fun venues in addition to the boat. The campground is awesome! And so pet friendly. The bark park was always clean and our poodles loved going inside. We also loved exploring the wooded trails. Even though we had booked a smaller site, it had a shade tree and patio with picnic table. There is plenty of shady area in the resort. The public showerhouse was also very clean and the water pressure was awesome! We will definitely be going back in our new 2024 Salem Cruise Lite by Forest River!
Was here for a weekend in a rented RV while our house was being shown for sale...this is the best time we've had all summer...requested a shade cover spot for the RV & got it,needed to be here earlier than expected,no problem, had a question it was answered....feels like a private community full of great people....we are look8ng to buy our own RV in the near future & hope that we can get a more permanent spot for our retirement...
Very clean campground. Super friendly, attempted to engage us in activities. Clean but cold pool. 5 year old loved the playground, sandbox and easy to ride a bike on roadsService: 5/5
This RV campground purchased in this last few months. We've stayed here lots of times over the past few years. COMMENT #1:Not as clean, crisp or maintained. Too many permanent RV"s make it feel more like a retirement trailer park.
It was really good it's a private RV campground and a tent campground as well and there's a pool there's a laundry room there's a gift shop there's a lot of fun activities for families oh no it's a really fun place I would definitely go there againLocation: 4/5
Kid friendly clean park. Management was friendly. Only a few downfalls. Camping spot is gravel that needed weeded, some of trees need trimmed, scraped on way out. The store was limited on what they carry. Some of advertising was misleading. There is no easy access fishing without leaving the park.Location: 2/5
Look I loved this place everyone down to earth always willing to help... We are from St Louis and didn't kno anyone. But they made us feel home. The Activities for family and kids and safety was everything and even though my family is mixed race, they always showed love and was always there if needed to know anything thanks you guys my family loved it there Nearby activities: They have many activities thru out the year Safety: Everyone knows everyone they have a great policy Walkability: 5 miles is the best way to go with kids and dogs around they also stop wen people are walking Food & drinks: They sale food in office so it's always convenient and have coffee plus wifi and free activities, oh and coffee in the a.m to help out with the day
