CrossFit Doulos is dedicated to building a community that expresses a sense of urgency to empower others.
In CrossFit we learn to be strong as we push the limitations of our own capacities. With each and every day we continue to surprise ourselves with progress. It’s not always easy, in fact it rarely is. Sometimes it feels like we’re hitting wall after wall and other times we seem to be flying over them. Either way we persevere because we are not only physically strong, but we are mentally tough. Achieving new goals, setting new standards and creating new habits we find ways to become resilient. We are beautiful and we are empowered by one another. This is every day in CrossFit and this is every day in our lives.
Our mission is to translate this mentality of resilience, beauty and strength into the real world, to instill true freedom for those who don't have it. Recent studies claim Houston to be ranked high in U.S. cities to hold victims of sex trafficking captive. This is an issue that is under recognized by the nature of the problem, however, we believe it is time for the victims to be survivors. We refuse to overlook the bondage that these victims are under and we strive to free and empower our neighbors by addressing the issue head on and consistently. The CrossFit Doulos community will have a part in breaking this bondage.
