CrossFit is high intensity athletic fitness program that combines endurance, conditioning, speed and strength exercises into circuit training that utilizes a mixture of calisthenics, plyometrics, free weights, kettlebells, gymnastics rings, pull-up bars and many other unorthodox exercises such as tire flipping and sledgehammer swings to accomplish goals. Athletes use task oriented WODs (Workout of the Day) as a way to keep track of their progress and compare it to other athletes and against competitive events to develop fitness improvements. CrossFit is fun and exciting because the workouts and exercises are constantly varied and never get dull.
