CrossFit SwampFox (CFSF) is Livingston County’s first and ONLY Affiliated CrossFit Gym located in Pontiac, IL. CFSF was started by myself, (AJ) and my wife, (Megan) Dwyer, owners of MAD Fitness, LLC in order to bring our clients to the next level of fitness. Megan and I have heavily influenced the fitness scene in Pontiac, and surrounding towns since the opening of MAD Fitness in 2012. We started with two classes, 9 people in the two classes combined, and no individual clients. MAD Fitness now offers 5 different classes with over 100 members per month, and we train over 25 people individually ranging from people just trying to get in shape, to organized athletic clients ranging from Jr. High to the collegiate level.
Megan and I have trained with the CrossFit methods for years now after getting out of the competitive physique arena. CrossFit has changed our lives completely, and we want to offer that change to our clients. We often have clients ask us how we train, so we decided to go through the steps to affiliate with CrossFit to be able to show them first-hand how we train. CFSF is not only a gym, but a family; a community, and we take that seriously.
CrossFit as an organization is about building a community, and that is exactly what we plan to do with CFSF right here in Pontiac, and the surrounding towns. We want to be a part of our client’s experience, and help them along the way. We want to be there to cheer them on during those long, exhausting WODs, and we want to pick them up when they fail. The first time you step into our gym, you will know the feeling; you are one of us.
