PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LIVE HERE. Don't do what I did and read through the positive reviews and assume that all the negative reviews are just overreacting tenants. They're not. I guarantee you can find somewhere of comparable price and location and not be completely screwed over like I was when I lived here for a year and a half. This apartment complex takes advantage of students who don't know any better or don't have other options. DO NOT LIVE HERE! Detailed below are all the problems I had while living here. My experiences are not exclusive to me; I constantly had conversations with other tenants who had similarly horrible experiences. When I first moved in, I had paid $200 to move in about a week early. When I arrived, my apartment was NOT ready at 8am as they had told me it would be. Instead, I had to run around to find someone to help me, when I finally ran into the maintenance guy who told me that there had been a water leak in the apartment that would take 2 hours to clean up. I wouldn't have had a problem with this if they had just let me know that this happened. I had been in email and phone correspondence with them for MONTHS, and they didn't even let me know that there was a water leak on the day I was supposed to move in. Once I actually was able to move in, there were several issues. My garbage disposal and my wifi didn't work, as well some other smaller problems. When I asked how to get these fixed, they told me to access maintenance requests through the resident portal. One problem: I didn't have access to the residence portal. Again, they had known I was moving in early for months; why hadn't they put me on it already? For several days I emailed and talked to the office, but they kept brushing me off until I demanded that they fix it immediately and threaten to sue. I felt like a Karen, but I also was paying $200 to move in a week early, so my wifi and sink should be working properly! I would also like to mention that the apartment they showed me was NOTHING like the apartment I was given. Since their show apartment is a 2bed 2bath, I knew mine would look different since it was only 1bath. What they neglected to tell me is that there would be no windows in the kitchen or living room and the window in my bedroom would take up the entire wall, making the living area a dark, dank, sad space to do anything in, and the bedroom borderline unlivable in the Arizona sun. The air conditioning also sounded like an airplane taking off, no exaggeration. If I had known that this is what the apartment looked like, I would have chosen to live somewhere else. Continued below; another reminder to NOT LIVE HERE!!!
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR SANITY LIVING HERE! Trust the other negative reviews, this place is horrible. I've lived here since Aug. 2022 and have had nothing but problems since I've moved in. For starters, essentially the whole school year the laundry room did not work. When it did, only some machines worked, the others would either break with your clothes in them, would steal your quarters, or would just refuse to dry your clothes, resulting in you spending $7 to wash and dry everything. They JUST fixed the laundry room this summer before this year’s upcoming move in day and they also raised the prices. That was the bulk of my problems here until the place came under what seems to be new management with a new maintenance team in the last couple months. Since then, they've replaced the fire alarm system which sounds great until in doing so your roommates stuff gets covered in paint. And if an appliance breaks, don't expect to get it fixed anytime soon. My dishwasher broke in March and it took till July to get a new one…with a broken lock. I’ve been waiting 3 weeks now for a new lock. My refrigerator also broke on July 29th. Someone came in and looked at it on Aug. 3rd and said they'd bring a new fridge on Aug. 4th. It took until August 14th to finally bring the fridge into the apartment and only after we called the emergency maintenance line because the office was unexpectedly closed for days and wouldn't return our calls. My roommate also experienced her bathroom flooding as a result of a maintenance accident, but because they likely did not fix it properly her bathroom and our shared kitchen flooded for DAYS weeks later. Despite us submitting maintenance requests and calling the office about it, it took calling the emergency maintenance line to even get anyone to come in and look at it. Water was CLEARLY leaking from the wall, and despite me telling the maintenance guy that, he decided to put a bucket underneath the non-leaking pipe under her sink… if he had put the bucket in the middle of the living room it would have caught the same amount of water as it did underneath the pipe. The office and maintenance guy who put the bucket under the non-leaking pipe had also told us that the problem was severe and would require a massive undertaking to resolve, however after my mom called the office someone was able to come in and fix the issue the following week in less than an hour. The men in the office were also rude and rolling their eyes at me and talking to me like I was an idiot when I went down to the office frustrated about nothing being done in a timely manner. Campus Crossings has inconsistent hours, doesn’t return calls, is unresponsive, and lacks communication with tenants. If I could write more, I would but I'm running out of space. This place is awful, and unfortunately I’m stuck here for another year. Hopefully this review keeps someone from making the same mistake as me though.
Continued review; my complaints were too numerous to fit in one review, which should say enough. The first year I lived here wasn't too bad; sure the pool was always dirty and the leasing office chose to just not be open sometimes meaning you can't get your package for days on end, but it wasn't too bad. I took a semester off to study abroad and then took over the lease in the spring from my friend who was living in the same apartment. The issues I had with this place immediately came back. I, again, had been in contact with Campus Crossings for months before I was supposed to move back in. The date to move in was always Jan 2, since I had work starting on Jan 3. They had never mentioned this was an issue until THE WEEK BEFORE I WAS SUPPOSED TO RETURN, when they said the leasing office would be closed on the 2nd and I would have to get my keys on the 3rd. They KNEW about my situation; they KNEW I was on a different continent and had planned my fifteen hour flight to come back on the 2nd BECAUSE WE HAD AGREED THAT THAT WAS MY MOVE IN DATE. I'm a scholarship kid; I can't afford a last minute hotel because they chose not to tell me when they would be closed. That's when I realized they don't care at all about their tenants. The most egregious offenses were those that occurred in the last 6 months I lived there, from Jan-July 2023. First of all, the laundry machines were broken these entire 6 months. I called, emailed, talked to the office, everything. Other tenants did the same. Did they ever fix them? Of course not. They just gave bull responses and took zero responsibility. Keep in mind there's no laundromat within a mile, and I lived so close to campus because I don't have a car, which I imagine is the case for many students. Then they "fixed" the fire system TWICE, a couple months apart; for days my fire alarm was going off every five minutes. They drilled holes into my friend's ceiling in April, leaving dust and debris everywhere, and they didn't fix the literal wires hanging from his ceiling until July. The nail in the coffin was the bill I received today, about a week after moving out. I was charged $50 for the Campus Crossings-branded rubber wrist strap they give you with your keys. I was astonished. Are you kidding me? $50 for something I guarantee costs maybe 30 cents to make? All of these things show they clearly couldn't care less about the wellbeing of their tenants, and are just looking to exploit young students who think they don't have other options. I'm telling you, DON'T LIVE HERE!!! You will be suffering the whole time. Please just live somewhere else; you will thank yourself later. The front desk seems nice, the location is great, and the show apartment looks good. All of this is just to convince you to sign a lease and then they don't care about you at all after that. The only positive is that the maintenance crew is kind and quick to respond to maintenance requests. Everything else is horrible. It's not worth whatever rent you're paying. Check out Bright Properties, Linden Terrace, Blue Agave, Zona Verde for similarly priced properties close to campus. Read the other bad reviews and you will be convinced not to live here. It's horrible. You deserve better. LIVE ANYWHERE BUT HERE!!
Run down and poorly maintained apartments. The management and maintenance folks seem not to care. I gave them a grace period to turn it around and that time is up. On move in day we reported leaks, moldy drywall, a large hole in the wall, messy paint, broken blinds, poorly maintained appliances and bathroom fixtures. They could care less. Dont ignore the bad reviews.
Laundry machines have been broken throughout the school year. When they work, you have to wash clothing 2x and end up paying 10$ to get your laundry done. Internet quality is very poor as well, very spotty. Office is always closed so you can't get your property. Outdated appliances. One positive thing is they are pretty good at following up with maintenance requests and completing them with care. Other than that, the walls are pretty thin but a great location without paying for sol or one of the other towers. Your bike will not be safe here, even if locked up.
A honest comment from some who was worried about the negative comments of this place. The staff are eager to help you. For now, living in this apartments is quite calm and enjoyable place. It is in a centric location from the UofA, supermarkets, restaurants and the medical center. Of course, nothing is perfect but it fair enough for what you pay.
What the heck is the laundry room! Wash machines were broken for almost 5 months. Manger said they would replace these machines. However, it's the end of May!!! Where are workable machines?? They fixed many many times, but machines are still broken.
Great location for the price and friendly enough staff, however both office and maintenance staff are consistently unhelpful. Don’t expect to have maintenance requests completed in a timely manner, or completed with quality. For the majority of my lease the card reader in the laundry room has not worked with no options on where to get coins, so I’ve ended up relying on friends and family to do laundry. Upon move-in, both the dishwasher and garbage disposal/drain did not work in my unit and they were not fixed for over 2 weeks despite multiple calls to the office about the issue. The apartments are very dated inside but not too bad. If you’re alright with dealing with the maintenance issues than this is a fine place to live, but beware.
The building is very well conserved, the customer service of the personnel is so good. The public areas are very clean and there is always a security man at nights. The building is quiet and it is walking distance from the University of Arizona as it's name says.
It's a pretty good apartment at this price, location is perfect, right next to campus and rec, quiet, safe, friendly staff. Issues are obvious, old building so don't expect a remodeled unit. AC was down in the second year, their maintenance guy came multiple times but can't fix it and was unwilling to replace it, they charged 50 for bathroom light cleaning which was weird, but overall, it's a nice place to live.
