Very nice Library. Helpful and kind staff. I usually take my 3 kids. They have a decent collection of books and activities for the kids that allows older kids to read while younger ones have interactive activities and toys.
I love this library, they have a great selection and an impressive genealogy department. The staff are always helpful and pleasant, they offer free notary, private rooms to read and/or meet in, a book truck, classes/workshops for all ages. I could go on.
Could do with work in the parking lot to make more wheelchair friendly. Going up hill with all the up ramps is ridiculous. This location is ridiculous. No idea why the library is so far away from the schools or downtown. It sits in small suburb away from everything and everyone. It do better in different location. No idea why it stays in this small building and keeps wasting more money into it.
It was a pleasant experience, the workers were very friendly and helpful it wasn't busy and the wait time was fast, I got in and out I will go again love the quietness!!
Great as always. Staff is super nice. Love the books.
This is a really great library with a lot to offer. The employees are very friendly and knowledgeable. Also, I appreciate that they don’t back down from their right to free speech from some of the fundamentalists around here that are trying to push back on some of the offerings in the library. I really appreciate that they continue to offer a wide variety of things to check out and use. There are also quite a few computers for public use. The genealogy section is quite large. There are very nice private rooms to use to study or read. Very impressed
I can't believe that an employee goes to study rooms to force individuals inside to mask up. I had mine down due to March weather and a constant need for tissues. Other than that, I am fully vaccinated and boostered - thanks to my oncologist no less. Another patron who was similarly alone in a nearby study room was also chastised for not wearing his mask. Like me, he opted to pack up his belongings and leave immediately. As I was leaving, the same employee told me to "Have a great day!!!" in an extremely condescending manner. I was almost outside; she should have just held her tongue and not made my experience more unpleasant. Hence this review, which I'm writing in a booth at a restaurant which holds a license from the public health department. And the patrons here don't have to wear masks...go figure. Someone please inform that employee: Ma'am, you're hardly saving lives...the citizenry of Jonesboro go into hundreds of public spaces sans a mask. But you'd have made a terrific Brownshirt back in the day. So you have that going for yourself, I guess.
During my time living in Jonesboro, the library was a haven and a treasure for me. Sure, it may not be the quietest space but that is because it's actually in use by the community which was always a good thing in my eyes. The fact that I had access to whatever books I wanted, could find more through inter-library loans or finding newer books and even graphic novels each visit was a joy. Thank you, JPL! Keep being awesome.
Our local library is a treasure. There are lots of different activities scheduled for all different age categories. I teach a karate class there for adults on Saturdays, there is a weekly Zumba class on Thursdays, the Gamers Guild meets there monthly, and lots of other activities during the week. You can follow the library's Facebook page to see all the upcoming events.
Everybody up there is so helpful!! Great selection for whatever you’re looking for. Happy they also have an app.
