As a retired 20 year veteran and former Marine I have no respect for the leadership of this disrespectful school and the hope the principal is removed from his position and another leader with respect to our soldiers put in place. Shame on this administration and God bless our Marines and soldiers .
I just read the story of how the Principal at Crown Point High School and other administrative people there refused to allow a brand new Marine to graduate in his Dress Blues, and even left his name off of the roll call of graduates! This is a disgrace of the highest order, and your shame should settle over the school like the black smoke of war that Marines have been dying for while serving this great nation! I'm guessing that the reason for not allowing Jacob to wear his Dress Blues would be so as not to offend some minority or religious faction! Did the graduating class of 2017 bow to Mecca as part of the closing ceremonies? Pardon my dripping sarcasm & disdain for your actions! We only get one chance to graduate high school, and walk proudly in front of family & friends to accept our diploma. You have stolen that special moment from Jacob, and owe him & his family the biggest apology ever! You also should be ashamed to call yourselves Americans! I wish I could give you ZERO Stars! Sgt. I don't know this principle personally, he may be a fair and honest man, however when he would not let Jacob Dalton Stanley a young man serving in the marines participate in his graduation ceremony because he showed up in his dress blues. For God's sake you couldn't at least read his name? You should be ashamed of yourself!! It is so very sad to know that we have this principle watching over our children. What kind of morals and values are you teaching our children!! Just my option but you should apologize to Jacob and his family!!
Horrible leadership, so quick to refuse a young man, young Marine, his right to walk across the stage at graduation in his USMC uniform. The example you set will forever be a blemish on your school! What harm would it cause? How would it have derailed a single fragment of the ceremony? Your actions are truly UnAmerican and heinous. The taxpayers paid for his education and their is no way you can justify your decision. You further cannot justify not even reading his name! Shameful and dishonorable principle!!!
I just read about this most distepectful decision to not allow this young person to wear the uniform of the United States Marine Corp. As a veteran I feel this is nothing more than a slap in the face to all veterans. You don't even deserve one star, it should be in the negative. Semper Fi Marine, from a fellow vet.
Turnong away someone for their graduation ceramony is down right stupid. For what because you guys want perfection. Your pathetic excuses just prove your not a upporters of our troops and a bunch of cowards. Move to North Korea if you want to be this way and destroy dreams of student over attire...
The leadership at this school is disgraceful. Any member of the United States military should be able to proudly display the uniform they have earned.
I didn't even know crown point high school existed unit I read in social media the school principal refuse to allow a US Marine to attend his graduation ceremony. What a total disrespect for our country!
For anyone who voluntarily chooses to write a blank check for, and up to the loss of their life for their Country and IT'S UNGRATEFUL CITIZENS should be allowed to walk tall and have themselves be recognized for their above and beyond efforts. The fact that you shamefully bide behind this dress code argument is a disgrace. I guess all of your good little mein kampf kindred need to be the same as their comrades, good moldable little sheep and if one dares to challenge life and all it throws at them for the greater good of their countey then dam them right? You make me ashamed of being a hoosier and having to explain to my brothers and sisiters that i served with that not ALL HOOSIERS are this disgusting.
Good teaching but everyone is smoking weed and doing sexual things, even in the school bathrooms. Plus, it is not a very diverse school with mostly close-minded people and is terrible with punishing students, even severe offenses. Transferred after just one semester...
