Mother's Day breakfast. First time here. Jackie our waitress is AMAZING!!!!! Coffee cake is best I've had in town. Prices reasonable, Cafe layout isn't super tight and crowded little they sometimes are. Daughter and I have decided this is now our spot cause it's wonderful! Clean, service is great, staff is friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!!!! Will be a repeat customer ourselves. The cinnamon roll French toast was yummy, biscuits are huge, silverware was clean, bathroom was clean. Even busy this morning Jackie took time to chat with us. Come in and ask four Jackie!!!!! She's the reason breakfast was extra special this morning!!!!
Dropped in, looking for someplace different. We were greeted at the door by the owner with a very warm and inviting disposition. Even though we were a few minutes before the opened for dinner we were allowed to dine. For being in an older strip center the interior just popped with the black tables and chairs trimmed in chrome. There is a nice selection of colorful art work on the walls - available for sale, supporting a local artist. We were very comfortable. The menu had a lot of variety without being overwhelming. Both my wife and I selected the #5 combo which included a shredded beef taco, chili relano and a cheese enchilada with generous portions of rice and beans. The new owners have only been here since April and only last week opened for dinner for the first time. All in all, a very pleasant dining experience- I guarantee we’ll be back!
First time here, seated right away and got our food in less than 20 minutes. We split the green chili pork plate and the flavors were great! The salsa was yummy and not spicy. The staff was very friendly all around, we will be back next time we are on this side of town.
Alamo omelet was outstanding. Lots of beef and the perfect amount of peppers. Service was fast, accurate and professional. Very polite and charming. Wish they were open longer so I could eat all three meals there every day. Crispiest English muffin ever. Excellent.. Be patient. Staffing has been an issue like everywhere. It's worth the wait.
Kinda gross. My Benedict muffin was soaked with water or something like that in parts. I could pull it apart with a wet noodle if I needed to. The fruit was dry and old. I upgraded to the fruit. 1.99 extra The coffee was fine. After breakfast it was 17 dollars. And there was even a place to tip the chef. So on top of the tip for the wait staff we are to pay for that too. Hummm. I gave my waitress 3.50. She was the best thing there. It’s not cute either. Super boring. Never going back.
Visiting Tucson, my traveling companion & I gave it a try. Looks smaller from the outside than was revealed when we arrived. A nice menu &, finally, a place with a basic breakfast vs other places we've tried who offer stomach busting options with equally high prices.
I have been coming here for years. And I "use to" love it. I don't know what happened maybe new owners or managers. But whatever it is it's not good. The worse experience ever today. To be fair the food was good but the service was lousy from the young man in sweat pants to the other 4 employees who continued to walk pass without even acknowledging I was there and the order was wrong they overcharged for the stuff I receive and I still never got the complete correct order, simply got tired of waiting, just an absolute failure. And when I did finally get to speak to someone some how it was all my fault. They are too busy for the small place they are in, they do not even have space to hire more better employees if they decide to fix the problem. Maybe everyone working today just had a lousy day I don't know. But I was giving them business my hard earned money and did not appreciate the epic fail! While the food is good, it's not the only game in town and their arrogance is not something I will ever give my money to again.
My husband and I frequented this restaurant when we lived in Tucson. It is delicious and love all the fun mugs when you order coffee. Service is always friendly. We've moved from Tucson last year, and I'm still craving the pecan pancake. Best ever! Looking forward to a visit back to Tucson and a trip to the Crying Onion. -Amanda
Food is always great, went about 8am it was busy and our waitress forgot our toast and bacon, they only had caramel creamer for our coffee. Maybe it was just a bad morning but we love the place.
The food is homemade and VERY good. I will definitely be eating at this place next time I'm in Tucson.Food: 5/5
