Connecting the communities we serve to Colorado State University!!
The Northeast Regional Engagement Center, a partnership between CSU, Northeastern Junior College and Morgan Community College, is a community resource for northeastern Colorado. Offering conference and meeting space, video capabilities, and Internet access to support community organizations and business leaders, the Center serves as a collaboration and resource hub for community development.
Currently the Center houses the coordinator, Erin Waitley, and two CSU Extension agents, Casey Matney (Rangeland specialist) and Christy Fitzpatrick (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math specialist). The Center also has additional office space that it eventually hope to fill with local community partners and agencies.

The Northeastern Regional Engagement Center serves 7 counties in Northeastern Colorado. They include: Logan, Morgan, Phillips, Sedgwick, Yuma, Washington and Kit Carson.
The Primary idea for the Center is to:
Make meeting space and technology available to the community in a central location at no charge.
Promote community education and community development opportunities.
We want this to be a space that the community can use for planning, training and teaching.
Use center as a conduit for CSU resources
CSU has a mission to all Coloradans, not just those in Ft. Collins
Example: the computer in the front room links to the Division of Continuing Education homepage, and we will have DCE representatives coming to the Center.
Admissions will also come in when the CSU regional rep is in Sterling.
We hope to bring out other resources, but that will be partly in response to community interest – so let us know if you want to hear from Athletics, Alumni, or another CSU unit.
