Cub

We only go here if absolutely necessary because they are overpriced. Whenever we do have to go, there's always an issue. One time, we got doughuts and didn't notice until we got home that they were moldy. Another time, we got scolded by a rude employee while trying to figure out their outdated self-checkout machines. The store is also just horribly organized, and they are severely understaffed - which may be the cause of these negative experiences.

We go to a lot of Cub Foods in the area and this one is our Favorite. Here are some Pros: -Produce is always good/fresh -Good selection of fruits and vegetables -Deli is well organized and Clean. -Staff is always polite and willing to help -Free Fruit for our toddler while shopping Big Plus! The few Cons that I have: -They don't have paper towels next to the vegetables sometimes you need to dry them off before bagging them up -The hours are going from 24Hours/day to only being open: 5am-1am??? Something like that. Overall, Very Impressed!

Never had a worse experience shopping than I did this evening at this Cub. Two things took Me by surprise today. First, the lady at the deli had no mask on and had no gloves either yet she was "happily" serving food. I was just a turn off and her attitude didn't help either. In this age of infections etc it's just weird to see that. another incidence I bought two bottles of Kombucha which a big yellow sticker said were 2/$7. After checking out, I realized I had been fully charged instead of the posted price. I assumed then that there must have been a coupon and I kindly asked the lady if she could assist. She rudely retorted that I should have paid attention to the posting and should have informed her before the transaction was completed. I am sorry I missed the coupon part but there was zero reason to be super rude about it. I went to the help desk and a very nice lady assisted me and even apologized for the rude treatment by the other cashier. I know there is a shortage of workers but wouldn't be nice if being kind and helpful while also being mindful of food safety was something that was held high in the hierarchy of customer service? As a result of this experience this is my last shopping day at this Cub foods.

Good store. Clean. Well stocked

I stop by Cub five days per week as part of my daily lunch ritual. Cub always has what I need for my diet to maintain my weight goals. I am writing this review, however to thank your cashier "Kael" who literally puts a smile on my face, if I didn't already have one on when I arrived. His sense of humor is right out of a Princess Bride movie and he's one of a kind. He raises his occupation to a new level, making my day every time. Thank you Cub for employees that make a difference in our lives, like Kael.

Store is decent but watch out for expired items! This review is mostly for the bakery though...... We've lived in Elk River and visited this Cub Foods for over 16 years. From the first day, we bought a expensive birthday cake for family members. It looks good but the frosting was supposed to be vanilla, yet tasted like cherry! Recently we bought some cinnamon swirl bread, which looked good and was fresh but it tasted like apple bread! Nearly bakery item they have is tainted with the flavor of some other one.....donuts taste off, cupcake frosting is also wrong. Again this is nothing new and has gone on, as long as we've lived here. So, it's a decent store but avoid most of the bakery items.

Beware if you are wishing to shop in a covid safe environment.... last night I ended my shopping early with a 1/2 filled cart of groceries left them in cart and drove to competitorswhen the customer count of non- mask wearing patrons exceeded 10! There were less than 15 or so in the store at the time... left and called Cub asking for a MOD and inquired if their policy was “masks optional” and she confirmed “yes” Too many options in ER area, never again...

The store is good but you really need to look at options for delivery besides Instacart the service is horrible, it doesn't do what it says it will do for a membership! A 2 hr delivery now is next day. there are many other services for delivery and your losing out on money with them. I order weekly a few hundred dollars and can tell you I am taking my service else where that doesn't use Instacart.

What an awful experience and this is why... 1. The entire meat department leave at 2pm so if I the customer who needed help today had to ask the deli department for assistance... Who in their right mind just leaves an entire department on auto pilot after 2pm and expects it to run smoothly... The meat manager along with the store manager should be fired for allowing this to happen... 2. I don't know who trained these people but the words "customer service" don't exist in this store... If I the customer need something from the deli, the 1st thing I should never hear is " Is there something u need ?" Why do you think im standing here ? 3. Are the words "Thank You" some kind of foreign language because nobody says it after the checkout is complete... I'm only gonna comment on this store because this is the one I was at today but suffice to say it wasn't a good experience

Staff Member Evan saved dinner I dropped money and he returned it knowing I dropped it. I was really embarrassed but he was so genuine he deserves some recognition for doing the right thing. I love this cub and he has definitely made me love it more great young man. Unfortunately a inappropriate worker Laura Overson has ruined my hometown cub for me by making inappropriate moves on my ex fiance. Cub never contacted me to verify his story when it was in fact false instead they let a coworker take him to her house slept in a bed together and she wouldn't bring him back home or let him talk to me, called the cops on him to try to get him to not come home when he wasn't in any danger nor was he at all. He was welcome back just his drinking wasn't. As previous comments state they have good staff but they also have horrible staff. Cub shouldn't allow this type of misconduct to occur. I have been talked about in the deli department like I'm not a person they have slandered my name and I can name them all. Very disappointing. I have contacted cooperate they have received my complaint. Now everytime I go there instead addressing my review I'm treated funny honestly think cooperate should fire all and do a job fair. Make our local cub better.
