We love staying here. The staff is always friendly, the pull through sites are long & level. The grounds are Impeccably kept. Everything is neat & clean. There are hiking trails, sweet ducks & at the right time of year ducklings. A very nice dog run. It has always been peaceful. We always stay here when driving through Alabama . Nearby activities: There iare great antique shops in Cullman. Also Roman Catholic or not you should visit Ave Maria Grotto & see the miniature buildings, & cities Bethlehem, Jerusalem & Rome which are the lifelong work of one Benedictine monk, Brother Joseph.
We have a 43ft 5th wheel & it was no problem getting into a site. The staff here is very accommodating. They really pay attention to your needs. It is super quiet. Alot of campgrounds we have to put an outdoor rug outside our camper to keep dirt out but not here. There is grass in front of your camper. The bath house is very clean. The whole oak is very well kept. There is always an attendant on duty for any problems even at night. The grounds are very well kept. Just a beautiful park. We will definitely make this one of our campgrounds to stay at in the future. Thank u for such an enjoyable experience.
We stayed one night on our way to Tennessee and we had an amazing time. The grounds are super clean and pretty. We had to use the showers due to issues with ours and they are clean and up to date. Nice one mile hiking trail around the property and a dog park.Rooms: 5/5
Called to make reservations. Was told that's a busy weekend I understand that, we are coming for the same reason everyone elseand she had to see if there was availability. Said she would call me RIGHT BACK we all know what that means these days I gave her the benefit of the doubt. But alas she proved me right. We now have reservations at another place and for the 3rd of the price! So really I guess I should be thanking these guys.
I had high hopes for staying at your campground. We love Cullman and had always heard you all had great campsites. The online reservation was a breeze as well. Although your campground has narrow roads and very sharp corners, meaning my 43ft RV with 20ft long toad is not turning around easily, I believed this was okay as I had already mapped our route in GPS and found the perfect campsite to reserve by paying another $10 on the website. I knew I could get us to the campsite we reserved without issue. Everything was setup and perfect. Then everything took a turn for the worse, I want to say how disappointed I am with your campsite manager or whoever he is. I showed up to the campground after calling 3 times as instructed by your manager during a phone call earlier in the day in an attempt to get instructions for a night check in. My call was never answered or returned. nonetheless, I pressed onto the campground, thinking surely the night manager has just got other calls to attend to. Yet, I arrived at the office at 8:14 and there was no on present. I waited for 5 minutes, hoping someone would come to meet me. No one came. So, without guidance, I pull around to the campsite that I reserved by paying an additional $10 fee online and lo and behold, another camper is in my spot and I have now got no way to turn around. STILL no one there to guide us where to go. We have been here for 10min now. I begin unhooking the toad to get us out of the mess. 5min later, I have the toad unhooked and finally the manager arrives on a golf cart asking me what the issue is. Lets just say I bit my tongue. He proceeds to tell me I would not have fit in the campsite I reserved I easily would have so they gave it to someone else, even though the un-mowed grass that had grown up under the camper in the site I reserved had about 2 weeks of growth under it. There was clearly an issue with their booking software but I was provided with a blatant lie. It was late, we just wanted a campsite at this point so I just asked for him to get us to our site. He takes us to the spot, points to it and we drive in. By the time I hit the parking brake, he was gone and we never saw him for the next 2 days. He could have at least given me a ride back to our tow vehicle that I had unhooked and was now on the far side of the campground. We were finally fed up with the service so we decided to leave a day early. No one was on duty in the office during checkout to refund us our extra night and we were still charged an extra $10 for a service they failed to provide. Currently fighting for refunds with them but will likely have to dispute the charges with the credit card company.
Stayed one night on the way home from Florida. Super quiet, no freeway noise, just lots of birds singing. Travelers are up on the hill with a beautiful view of woods and meadows while long term residents are in the shady grove of trees. Sites are crushed stone, ours was level. Route from the highway was very well signed. The dog park area was large and clean. Didn’t use bathroom or shower facilities. Would definitely stop again on our travels.
This is the best campground around. Nice clean place. The whole staff is so wonderful. Enjoyed the trails, pond and the animals. Great dog park. I sincerely thank the Cullman Campground family.. We leave knowing we made some great friends. We will be back in January.. Kevin & Kim B.Rooms: 5/5
Stayed overnight on our way north from Florida. Just a few miles off I-65. Big rig friendly.Level pull-through sites with FHU. Ducks, lake, dog park, helpful staff. Quiet. Wifi. No cable. Clean bathhouse. Would stay again.Service: 5/5
We’ve alway stayed @ Cullman CG annually in springtime. It had the feel of a mom & pop quaintness, with me improvements every year. In those years our Good Sam discount was honored. A change has occurred bc of new booking system , as of Feb 23. I made reservations 4.8.23 & was not informed of the new minimal booking fee. This unavoidable fee without our previous discount makes them equal to Palomino & Quail Creek which have wider paved roads for big rigs & r a resort. We will b changing. Cullman CG takes only Military discount now. IMO to warrant $$ some of the really older rigs deplorable condition needs to b removed, site pads & widen roads need to occur
This was our first time using our camper it was amazing staff was super friendly will for sure be back! Walkability: Nice big open area and really clean!
