Couldn't be more excited about my new rifle! Walked in with a basic idea on what I was looking for and the manager Dan was extremely helpful in helping me decide and choose which model and available add-ons/upgrades. Staff is very knowledgeable and skilled. Dan gave me great information and absolutely zero upselling or trying to talk me into something I didn't want or need. Staff was all about finding the right model for my needs. I would recommend them all day long and will definitely be back! Thank you Culper Precision!
I usually don't post bad reviews but this deserves some light. I had a slide shipped in to have custom work done around the end of January 2022. At the beginning, communication was good and there was frequent updates on where my project was going. I was quoted for a finish date of April, I thought okay that's acceptable. April comes around and I receive word that they were working on other stuff from manufactures and had to push my project back. I thought okay that's fine considering the whole pandemic caused a slow in every business. I was patient, August turns around and I notify them that I was shipping out for the military. No response. I then proceeded to alert them through their active Instagram page which I see projects getting posted all the time; unfortunately not mine. I then commented on one of their post to get their attention about my project and that I would like to know when I would be getting my stuff back after coming home. THEY DELETED MY COMMENT TO COVER THEIR GOOD IMAGE/REPUTATION. I had come to them because of the good reviews on their work and their communication, turns out I was overestimating them. At least my situation was better off than another reviewer which did not receive his slide after two years. I don't mean to bash on Culper Precision but what's going on? Will I even receive my slide back after coming back?
Gotta say we absolutely love this rifle. Top of the line, and it shoots extremely well. I’m jealous it’s my wife’s. The downside is this company has zero communication. We were quoted about 3 weeks couldn’t get parts at first, I get it but he informed us when they got everything it would only take a couple weeks to assemble, cerakote, and test it. We would check in about once a month and always had a different answer. Then told it was done and it wasn’t because they thought we were someone else. Then the owner himself messaged us about 5 months into it saying he had everything. Long story short after having to go to the shop several times to get any information it was finished in about 8 months time. The worst communication ever. A tremendously awesome rifle.
As someone that grew up with an appreciation for firearms and craftsmanship. The incredible quality work that Culper does is nothing short of amazing. Their passion and attention to detail is felt immediately when you walk Into their building. I have personally built two firearms with them and as someone that has a desire to own shootable pieces of art they have delivered every time. The Glock 43 they custom built for me is beautiful and a real easy daily carry. The AR pistol they built me is stout, functional and smooth as A hot knife through butter. Their products and imagination spark desire for the next build. They make me want to spend money like no other company can. I can’t wait for you to get your first build from them. I’ve never been disappointed.
I have had quite a few guns made by Culper and although they usually took longer than estimated time the quality is great. Great things take time so expect to wait if you want it done how it should be. I do wish the communication on projects was better but I understand they get busy.
Worst shop ever. We dropped a gun off to get a muzzle welded. They told us 2-3 weeks max. It’s now going on 6 weeks. We can’t get ahold of them. They won’t call us back or text us back, so we have no idea what’s going on… this place is a joke.
Awesome guys! I had an idea in my head and explained what I was looking for and they delivered. Even when I didn't want top ports or window cuts on one of their milling packages for the Glock they said they could do it! The cerakote colors turned out great! Took a bit longer than they previously estimated but that's okay. I just need to learn to be patient. Would definitely recommend!
My experience at Culper Precision was pretty good! This was my first time cerakoting any firearms. I had an AR-9 project that I wanted black with NRA blue accent pieces, and my wife wanted her LCP 2 pink with grey accent pieces. When we first got there, they told us both guns would take about a month to complete, which was a little longer than we anticipated. But we went ahead and did it anyways. When that month was up, we came to pick up our guns, only to learn that the AR-9 was the only gun that was finished. The pink cerakote that my wife wanted had expired, and they'd have to order some more and take more time to complete her gun. This took a whole extra month. There was a lot of driving + calling back and forth until both projects were done. They also forgot to give me back the base plate for the AR, which ended up getting mailed to me so that I wouldn't have to drive there yet again, and it took over a week to arrive, even though it was supposed to be 2-day shipping. With all of this considered, I don't blame them for the expired cerakote. They do have excellent customer service, and they do a great job with their services. We are very pleased with the results. The main reason for the 4 star review is because of the travel back and forth, and for the long total wait time. Another positive note: when we did go back to finally pick up my wife's gun, they gave us a discounted price because of the inconvenience to us. I would recommend them to anyone wanting to spice up their firearms and we will be returning customers as well.
Extremely happy with the work here. Brandon and his staff do an excellent job. Their work is very close, if not on par with what I've seen from Agency Arms and a few of the other high-end Glock shops. They use good equipment and have the skills to deliver a better product. Somehow they are also extremely reasonably priced relative to the market. If you are local, there's zero reason to ship a slide or go out state for a custom work because you can do it here and get as good or better for less. Remember, quality takes time. They can get busy but good work like this is worth it. They have many design and customization options. Colors, slide cuts, stippling, grip forming. You can truly get something perfectly tailored to you. If you want a pretty pony, they will do it, but what I appreciate about them is that they will help you make good decisions about what to do to improve the function of the gun based on our goals without compromising durability and utility. I'll update this review after I get some rounds down range but from what I can see, it's going to do just fine. The shop is also a great supporter of the law enforcement community.
I dropped off my G19 Gen 5 a little over 2 weeks ago to get some custom work done. From the time I dropped it off, till the time I picked it up, the guys at Culper Precision provided awesome customer service! Not only was the work amazing, the turn around time was quick for the work I requested!
