LITERALLY THE BEST PLACE TO PLAN A PRIVATE EVENT, TEAM BUILDING ETC!! 5 stars go out to this kitchen for their high levels of accommodation, customer service, and quality work. Had planned a small get-together for my diehard Starwars fan//fiance and without me even having to ask, they had the Starwars music playing as soon as we got in. They allowed me to bring in some decorations to customize the event to our theme… and a SPECIAL shout-out to our chefs: Evelyn & Robert for goin' with the flow, using the Jedi force & leading us toward such a fun night!! What stood out the most with Cultivate than other culinary events was the fact that they were EXTREMELY accommodating towards guests with dietary preferences. We have 1 friend that is pescatarian and most places I contacted could only swap their dish with veggies OR everyone's menu had to be standardized to vegetarian. That was not the case at Cultivate. All us meat eaters were able to enjoy our medium rare flank steak AND our pescatarian friend was still able to get her protein: a whole salmon cut cooked to her preference! Additionally, we didn't know that the dessert contained an ingredient she couldn't eat, but it was an easy fix as they had an alternate sorbet dessert option to provide on the fly that was just as tasty! They provide all the materials to use though I brought in my own custom aprons/chef hats. If you are not a wine/beer person, they also serve low alcohol content beverages like mimosas or sangria - so you have options. TDLR; choose this place for quality culinary work, superior customer service & accommodation, AND aesthetics! Promise that you and your guests will enjoy to the fullest. -:
I'm going to do a quick review of this place, I've always been interested in it but haven't yet done one of their classes - however I learned a lot more today. Today they were doing an open house while a bicycling event was going on outside - complete with food items that they made themselves, of which I tried their flank steak sandwich with chevre. It was quite tasty. They talked to me about their date nights and single nights and other events which go on at this place. I am very interested in trying one of them out. They were very friendly explaining all of this to me. I'm looking forward to trying them out for real and updating this review once I do so.
We had a team dinner at Cultivate Kitchen. The opportunity to work with my teammates in a different setting and learn something new was fantastic! The staff was friendly and attentive. I highly recommend planning your own events here, or attend some of the events they host.
My husband and I had a great time here! We both learned multiple new cooking skills and the food we prepared was delicious, as well as the beer that was paired with it. The chefs are all super helpful and easy to talk to. Great idea for a date night!
I can't give a high enough score to Colleen and her team Ken, Mark and Leah. We had a team building event at Cultivate Kitchen and participated in the competition making our dessert. The space was clean and inviting and we had the entire place to ourselves. We enjoyed the wine and beer and immediately engaged in our competition. The best part was the delicious meal risotto and the interaction we had with the team. It was so much fun and we highly recommend to anyone with a work or family event.
Food quality and test - 4.5 stars **** Vegetarian food - 3 stars *** Ambience - 4 stars ***** Cleanliness - 5 stars ***** Value for money - $$ Kid friendly - No Parking - limited and hard to find Good staff, good food, okay vegetarian choices. We had good time learning how to make lava cake. We both enjoyed food / dinner but was not quite pleased with limited vegetarian choice I believe they have Good wine and drinks choices. I don't rate that so can't talk about it. Here are pictures of our learning to cook and finished lava cake product.
Took a class here and it was both fun and tasty! The instructors walked us through the whole process and have good tips along the way. The food turned out delicious and filling, and we even walked away with some extra desserts.
I've taken two classes with this company and have immensely enjoyed both. First was the Hawaiian foods dinner class learn to cook and eat app, main, and dessert. The staff made sure that enough stuff was prepped that we didn't get bogged down into details, but we all had a chance to help prepare or cook part of the meal. We didn't get to eat the main until 8:15pmish, so eat a snack beforehand. The food was delicious. Next was the knife skills class learn common chopping techniques, knife safety, and maintenance. I would consider myself a fairly experienced cook and in each class I still learned some valuable tips - worth the $100! A note though: these classes are often taken by couples or partners or families. I showed up to the Hawaiian dinner class solo and at first the place settings indicated that I would have to eat my meal alone :0. Thankfully a mother-daughter pair invited me to sit with them and chat. Consider showing up with a partner or friend if you're not a "talk to strangers" extrovert like me.
My kids loved this cooking camp! The instructor was super nice and the food the kids cooked at camp was delicious!
If I could rate Savory Kitchen 6 stars I would! I wanted to do something fun and unique for my 40 person wedding, where everyone was involved. Upon researching “team building activities" I came across Savory Kitchen. I could not be happier with my decision for my wedding reception! Since I live out of state, the owner Colleen was very helpful in all planning stages over email. Upon arrival into town the week before the wedding, Ashley warmly greeted us to go over any details and decorations we had prepared for the tables. The night of the wedding was perfect. Ashley and the rest of the staff were super friendly and hospitable, and made everyone feel like they were at their own homes. The “chopped” event we participated in was so much fun, everyone was laughing and truly bonded over the experience. I haven’t stopped getting messages from my friends and family over how great it was! Last but not least, the food was nothing short of amazing. We had salad, brisket, gruyere bread pudding, and of course the dessert from the competition we all cooked ourselves. Everything was perfect and I can’t thank Savory Kitchen enough for fulfilling my dreams of a non-traditional, super fun wedding reception. Highly recommend for anyone looking for something interactive to do with friends, family, or coworkers! Hoping I can add pictures soon after I get them back from my photographer. Thanks again!
