I live in the Nashville area and have been a contractor/ done my fair share of home remodels, etc. This place is, BY FAR, one of the best and most friendliest hardware stores I have ever been to. The owners are husband and wife and work together in the store and it’s extremely clean, friendly, and so helpful. They helped me repair a broken picture frame at no cost, and they also cut glass, so I was able to pay and get the glass replaced as well! Literally didn’t even ask for the frame repair, the man was just so helpful and said he was going to do it anyways. When I said I wanted to at least pay something besides the glass for their services, they said absolutely not and only charged me for the glass. I would without a doubt recommend this store to anyone in the area. They will have everything you need from painting supplies to pipe cutters to glass to just about everything else. Regardless if you’re just a hobbiest or professional, they have all you’ll need. Plus you get to support a truly family owned and operated local business. And the prices are actually the lowest around. Very rare that you get a chance to support local with low prices, but here you can!
This store is great in every way. They have lots of little things they probably don't sell a lot of but if you need one you are so glad they have it. They helped me when I stumbled in 10 min before closing trying to find something stupid and checking out the knives. That's a rarity and a half. The couple that work there are the nicest people I just moved here and they were so helpful. I love it.
Cumberland Hardware in Five points, East Nashville, has become my go-to hardware store. Forget the big box stores, this place has always had items available that I could not get at the big box stores. Some items are just not big sellers and it is not profitable for the big stores to carry them. Cumberland Hardware has never let me down. They are also very courteous and professional, just as you would expect from your neighborhood store!
Please throw all of your money at this place! Excellent Mom & Pop shop from the good old days with everything you need for small and medium sized home improvement & landscaping jobs. Owners are the sweetest people, very knowledgable and both work in the store every day. They also repair antique light fixtures and have store cats. What more could you want in a hardware store?
Awesome local hardware store. Don't forget to pet the cats I love this place
I accidentally broke a window pane on my old front door, so my wife and I headed to Cumberland Hardware for a piece of glass. This was after spending 2 hours attempting to replace the glass at home ourselves with junky tools bought at Home Depot. The owners of Cumberland cut us a perfectly fitting piece of glass in 3 seconds and we paid near nothing for it. They were friendly, extremely knowledgeable and kind. This small hardware store is a blast from the past to when Main Street America & little local businesses were king. Please head to their shop, you won’t be disappointed!
I had a lamp rewired here and went to Cumberland Hardware upon recommendation. They did a wonderful job and were so sweet! Go support a local business if you need any rewiring or hardware! They also have the cutest cats at the store!
If you need a few nails, some strange electrical wiring, or an excellent pocket knife, this is your place. The neighborhood Hardware store BEFORE the big box stores. The staff are friendly, but they let you browse before asking to help you. More of a kind "Hello" and when you have a question, just ask, Low Key, reasonable prices, and in the neighborhood. Why drive 3 dollars worth of gas to a big box, and STILL not find what you want! If it's small hardware, wiring, odds and ends, hand tools or that last little thing you need to get the job done, call or stop by here first. I always do!
This is the perfect place for people, like me, who love old-fashioned hardware stores with old-fashioned customer service. If you need to buy one nail, no problem. If you can't find it anywhere else, this place probably has it. The cats are a plus.
Recently went in to get some new keys made and felt like I went 50 years into the past. Very friendly, great shop to do business with. The supplies they have might not be the most up to date, but they have all the essentials.
