The Cumberland Police Department is dedicated to providing the highest degree of professional law enforcement services to the citizens of Cumberland.
The Town of Cumberland is a suburban/rural community that stretches west from Casco Bay towards the lakes region, between Portland and Freeport. Over 7,300 people reside in town. Cumberland is home to the Cumberland County Fair and the MSAD 51 school system. Also located in town are working farms, apple orchards, businesses, two interstate highways, commuter and freight rail lines, Twin Brook Recreation facility, and Val Halla Golf Course.
