Stick curling--more than just curling with a stick--it's a whole new experience! Just two curlers per team, one holds the broom and the other delivers six stones (alternating with the opposition). Then roles reverse for the next end. It's fun and it's fast--a game in six ends, about an hour to play.

Wednesday Morning Curl Moncton Men: Individual Entry
- Coordinator: TBA
- Wednesday morning 9:30 am
- Cost: $12 per game + Social/Curling membership

Come enjoy curling in a less competitive atmosphere. This is a group generally (but not necessarily) of retirees who enjoy good cheer and good company. No one's sense of self-worth is seriously affected by the outcome of the game. A 50/50 draw is used to fund the cost of the season-end banquet. Lunch is also provided for a nominal fee.

Teams are formed from those in attendance on that particular day iwth a view to matching opponents on the basis of skill and experience. A player, therefore, will curl on a different team each week. Two points are awarded for a win to each of the individuals on the winning team, with one point for each of the losers. The four highest point getters at the end of the season comprise the all-star team and may even earn an extra bottle of wine at the year-end banquet.

Players are welcome to show up unannounced, especially in the post-Christmas period when the ranks are decimated by the snow birds heading south with their golf clubs.

When registering for the individual, please state experience and positions preferred. We will try our best to accommodate everyone's wishes.

Wednesday Aliant League Open - Individual Entry
- Coordinator: Brent Bannister
- Email: [email protected]
- Registration Date:
- Deadline:
- League Start Date: October
- Wednesday evening

The Bell Aliant league was started back in the early 1990's by NBTel employees. The league has played Wednesday evenings since then. Initially made up of employees, the league now has a nice mix of employees, retirees, friends and family. This league is an ideal place for beginner curlers as we have players of varying degrees of experience. Although this is a league, the focus is on fun and enjoying a night out with coworkers and friends. New curlers are always welcome as spots become available. Entries are individual and teams are made up by the organizers. Again this year we would like to have 10 teams and play from October to early April.

Thursday Evening Fix Auto League: Open – Individual Entry - Team Entry

- Rotating draws 6:30, 7:00 and 9:15 pm

Teams will be divided in 4 separate divisions according to their past performance. This format provides great games for entry level and experienced teams. We will play 4 round robins during the season which gives the opportunity for teams to change division to better match their current strength.

This year we will have a fifth division which will consist of individual players who are looking for the right team members. In this division, teams are frequently changed, allowing players to get to play with different team mates.

A team can choose to challenge the other four divisions at the end of a round robin or join the fifth division if missing a player.
