Hi. Thanks for visiting my website. My love for art began in high school. I had a teacher who pushed me to do my best and bring out the God given abilities I didn't know I had. I have been teaching art classes to kids since I graduated from Purdue University in 1987. My students enjoy learning with a wide variety of media including pencil, pen & ink, acrylic painting, ceramics, etc. I enjoy helping them with 4-H projects and love seeing them improve their talents with each project.
I enjoy painting canvas but really like painting on different things such as saw blades, wood, baskets, glass, etc. For several years I have been hand painting scenes, homes, and pets from photographs on Christmas ornaments. It started small but by word of mouth from happy customers I am kept busy painting special, one of a kind gifts for Christmas presents. Painting on turkey feathers is a real challenge. These beautiful feathers make a great 'canvas' with natural coloring and rustic look. I like a good challenge and painting on small feathers and ornaments is truly that.
My newest project is farm play board. I will paint your farm and fields from an aerial photo onto a board for the kiddos to 'work the family farm' with their farm toys. Help your kids carry on the traditions and heritage of the family farm!
