Took great care of my dad last week, who was alone in the area at his summer house. He drove to the clinic with his dog Brownie in the car, and we are so grateful to front desk admin Tammy, who arranged boarding for Brownie when Dad needed to be admitted asap to the hospital, until we could get up to VT from out of state. We are grateful for the great medical care and the personal care you took with regard to Brownie. I'd give you 10 stars if I could!
I have come here a couple of times in the past, prior to COVID. I stopped coming because of the horrendous wait times, but had no other option today. I was met outside in the parking lot by a horribly rude staff person, who was visibly upset with me because I didn't have well-enough cell service to answer her call in the parking lot. She proceeded to walk away from me while mumbling someone under her breath. I stood there confused and decided to go back and wait in my car. She came back more annoyed and said 'are you coming in or not?!' Perhaps if she had had the decency and respect to speak clearly to me, rather than under her breath while walking away with her back turned to me, I could have heard her. This is not the kind of stress that someone seeking out urgent care needs added onto whatever pain or suffering they are experiencing. I won't be returning to this facility again, which in reality, likely only serves to narrow my own options for emergent care in the future.
I went in for flu symptoms. Asked for Tamaflu. The "doctor" basically told me not to bother and just to keep doing what I'm doing. Wouldn't even test me before prescribing me a cough suppressant and showing me the door. With medical care like this, I should of just stayed home and not wasted 3 hours of my life.
Quick and efficient visit, was seen within 20 min. Friendly staff. Diagnosis was wrong had torn ACL but was told just meniscus tear and that “ACL was fine.“. Had to jump through hoops after visit to get MRI since ExpressCare wouldn’t order one, despite hearing the POP! Of an ACL. Would’ve been able to get surgery sooner and get back my quality of life with correct diagnosis.
If you need the definition of inadequate medical care, go here. I have the flu and am being treated with medication. My partner got it from being around me. We brought him here to get some help with his symptoms. They refused to test him for the flu, refused to prescribe tamiflu, and told him to just take over the counter meds. He has had a fever of over 102 for almost 2 days! Cough, sore throat, congestion, and diarrhea. It took over three hours for nothing to be done.
I have used Express Care on several occasions and have found them to be professional, courteous and efficient. They are a wonderful resource to have in our community.
I recently brought my 11 year old daughter who has a good amount of anxiety here with a cut on her arm that needed attention. The older woman doctor we saw had the bedside manors of a toad and even made an unprofessional comment to my child. Her brash demeanor made the whole visit even more traumatic and we left without proper care due to her lack of compassion and patients. We were luckily able to get my child into her primary doctor where we were treated with care and understanding.
Came in to get my wrist looked at. Was told I’d need an X-ray. Nobody told me the cost of the xray or what an estimate would look like. I was maybe there for 10 minutes and my bill is well over $1,000. Not a great look for the American healthcare system. It took calling 10 different phone numbers to find out what my bill would be. More transparency would be appreciated.
Not a good option at all. Took my wife here to test for a UTI- ended up testing her for strep twice and Covid which wasn’t a rapid test, which is useless since we are not even from the area so we will be home by the time the results come back. They looked down her throat and said it looked infected yet wouldn’t prescribe an antibiotic. Ready for the presumably 200+ dollar bill, with no treatment options prescribed. Incredibly frustrating. She’s home shivering now with the fever and no treatment whatsoever despite hundreds spent. Explore any other option besides this one for quick treatment.
Very unprofessional “doctors”. The “doctor” I had Pamela A Byrd made absolutely no effort to actually examine me, and ignored absolutely all my requests for a strep tests, or to check if I have pneumonia since I have covid like symptoms but a negative test result. You can feel and hear the fluid in my lungs when I breath. She took one look in my mouth, jammed my tongue down extremely hard with her wooden stick thingy, looked for not even a second and said I have “post nasal drip”.. That next night I had a fever of over 100.. Gonna have to spend MORE money and take MORE time off work because your medical “professionals” don’t seem to have any interest in doing there job what so ever. I’m extremely disappointed, perturbed, and discouraged as I feel like I’m just gonna be treaded like “another number” again. She absolutely refused to give me a strep test as well. I seriously don’t understand how you can completely ignore a patients concerns, and completely disregard them and make them feel stupid. They didn’t test me for any illness at all crying out loud…. It’s not like I’m going there to visit you for Christ’s sake.
