I’ve been a Walgreens fan for years and when I moved to Oyster Bay and saw our local CVS I knew I was going to make the switch. I’ve come here at different times of the day and evening and I always walk in feeling like I’ve entered an era. It’s poorly maintained and run, it’s dark and dreary and the staff who work there don’t like their jobs. Recently I asked for support while using the checkout machine this is pretty much the only way to checkout and the person who helped me thought it was funny to make fun of how stupid shoppers were because the machines are always right. When did we lose the human experience at a pharmacy to machines?
Rude staff. Zero patience to spend a minute answering a question. Was yelled at for taking too long at the register while not one question was answered. After 12 yrs of using this pharmacy, will be switching to Village Pharmacy in Syosset that's owner operating where the owner cares about his customers
Our diabetic dog was in need of an insulin refill. We were short because we were instructed to up the dosage. The pharmacist refused to fill the prescription because he said the vet didn’t specify the volume. When we explained the situation further by phone, he relented. But when we arrived an hour later, he again refused. CVS filled the exact prescription the month before but left us hanging and our dog in danger. Pathetic service, miserable attitudes, promises broken. I’m out of there. You should be too.
my favorite CVS staff, including cashier staff, manager, they are always professional polite and helpful. Thank you, Angelisa, for your help!
Speedy check out. The team members were really nice and friendly. One of the best and cleanest locations!
The pharmacy manager is very rude. I would rate the service a zero star. At 1:20PM, I was waiting to pick up my medication. There were two clerks helping two customers and there is no one behind me. Both the clerks and the manager saw me waiting. When it is my turn, I walked up to the counter and the clerk asked the manager "should I take him?" The manager said "no" even though they saw me waiting for 10 minutes and there is no one behind me. The clerk explained it is now 1:30PM and it is their lunch break and shut the counter gate.
Pharmacy staff is rude and unprofessional. Incapable of answering simple questions without being confused. 30 minute wait for pharmacy to pick up phone, and then disconnect you.. Frightening to think they are filling people’s prescriptions and giving wrong info.
The pharmacy is a problem within itself. They automatically refilled my prescription in the morning and by 11AM, I had 4 missed phone calls from them telling me to pick up the script. I didn't ask for an auto refill and I don't need 4 missed calls while I'm trying to work. They're always rude, never helpful, and you're always bothering them. You'll be waiting on line for a prescription and they wont even acknowledge you until you'd stood there with NO ONE ELSE on the line, feeling stupid for 10 minutes because you've been ignored. I usually LOVE CVS but I'll never go back to this one. Such a shame, especially in a nice area like Oyster Bay. These people need a serious attitude adjustment. Really sick and tired of the nasty people working there.
Aside from hugely inflated prices, this store I can only conclude is badly managed. Regularly things are missing or out of stock and recently for a couple of weeks so far whole sections are completely missing, presumably they are moving things around how does it take so long?! with the attitude "come back next week". No thank you, I won't bother coming back at all. My infant is not waiting a week when he is sick because of your terrible stocking schedule. I can't understand why anyone would choose to shop here.
Always pay attention to your receipt. Odd that the sale prices have to be brought to the attention of cashiers. Makes you feel like they’re preying on those not paying attention. Convenient because it’s a giant pharmacy franchise, open late with parking, but we all know that.. it’s CVS.
