I wanted to order some medications from this pharmacy. It seems they hired unqualified , unprofessional pharmacists they do not know what they are doing. They were rude and racist against me due to my country of origin and ethnicity. They refused to give me a service that I need. They were lazy enough to order it or to help. I will never deal with them again.
I went to this location for a schedule Covid test. After confusion in the drive through I went inside where the young man tried to explain the situation. Then a woman of African descent stepped in and was rude and unprofessional. She instructed me to go back to the drive through. I did. Then she refused to service me bc she couldn’t see the insurance info on my appointment. I explained I was a cvs patient and they would have my information on my account. She refused to check. I offered my actual insurance card and she said she wouldn’t take it bc i had Covid and I would get everyone in the store sick. After leaving the young man called me and said he found my information and I could take the test. He was polite. However, That woman was mean and rude and should not be a medical profession with her attitude towards people in need. I was very disappointed in her behavior and surprised cvs would employ someone with no empathy, sympathy or social skills to deal with the public.
I rarely go anywhere else for household needs like toiletries, paper goods, makeup and bath/shower items. I use the Extrabucks card and am a member of Carepass so my final cost is typically less than Walmart, plus it's much easier to get in & out and there's rarely a check-out line. My only issue is that the makeup stock has been dropping and the items I always buy are rarely there any longer. I'm not one to go to multiple places and I don't like any of the substitutions I've been forced to settle for. I'm afraid I'm going to have to start purchasing my makeup elsewhere which is disheartening because I prefer to do all my shopping in one place and, again, use my memberships. I wish CVS could figure out a way to still carry a decent stock but reduce theft which, I'm sure, is ultimately causing this issue.
Blatant incompetence on every facet. Called at 6p to verify the insulin i need is in stock. It is in stock. Awesome. They informed me they would transfer the prescription from another pharmacy and that it wouldnt be ready until the following day around 10am. I show up at 11 to give them some extra time. They are only human. Then told there is nothing in my name. Nothing. Was told it is going to be another 3 days before they can get to it. They are busy. I can understand a simple mistake. But when you are dealing with peoples lives, a 3 day wait is more than egregious.
It took the pharmacy over 2 weeks to fill my prescription. Had to go in multiple times and they kept pushing it off. Ridiculous.
What is the point of having people call in for their prescription if you won't get it ready? Pharmacy has LOST my meds multiple times. Everytime I call them to have it ready I STILL wait for 30 mins in the store. Fire the pharmacy techs please, it's an easy job get somebody who can do it
70% of the time when I have gone to pick up a script the pharmacy has been closed. Drive thru is almost always closed too. Maybe I just pick terrible times but with medications I’d like to start asap such as anti biotics, I’d like to be able to get them as soon as they are ready. If you take important medications make sure you are always picking up well in advance, you never know. I miss the NW expressway location.. too bad this one is closer.
Went to pick up Co-VID in-home test yesterday after I returned from my trip to FLORIDA. I was the first one there after lunch & the attendant nicely asked if I would let her see what the other 2 customers needed first. She would need to set me up a profile. My insurance only slots for 4 test total at a time. An hour later I left the 39th & McArthur location with 2- test with all the instructions in SPANISH…Really! I called back to have the store credit my insurance back so I could get the ENGLISH version somewhere else and the male attendant sighted I look it up on YouTube instead and use them anyway even though they knew they didn’t have the test in English when they sold them to me…You see they didn’t have anymore in stock on the 2- I purchased..
I have been using this pharmacy very regularly since 2017. This location is very busy, however, the pharmacists and staff are always working and very friendly. If you want your prescription filled in 10 minutes this isn't the place for you. This CVS is the best pharmacy that I have ever used; if they weren't so extremely busy/seemingly shorthanded I would have to give a 5 star rating. I don't like using any other pharmacy location.
Horrible service with CVS in general. Southside location filled my script instructing me to take my new prescription 3 times daily after having stints inserted. Thankfully my husband was there when my cardiologist explained dosage. This was a blood thinner that I was to take 1 pill DAILY not 3. I called the pharmacy to let them know...she blamed it on the Dr's handwriting. I would think that any pharmacist would know taking 3 plavix a day would not be common and would contact the Dr if uncertain. Not sure what the outcome of taking 3 times a day would have been but am glad I didn't have to find out. Moved to north side and have had NOTHING but issues. Unfortunately my employer has a nationwide contract with CVS so I have to use them in order for my insurance to cover. If there was a rating of 0, that's what they would get from me.
