Other than rare neutral experiences at the pharmacy I have largely had negative ones. They generally seem put out by having to deal with customers. My most recent experience will prevent me from ever going there again. I set up a Covid booster on line Saturday. The site said I was good to go and I am eligible due to asthma and autoimmune issues. I got there and a young woman turned me away saying I was not eligible in spite of seeing my card which clearly shows I have gotten a booster there before. I regret not pushing back more but I just didn’t have the energy to pushback yesterday. Now I have to get it at my doctor’s office Monday which I was trying to avoid in case it makes me sick because I can’t afford to miss work. The reason for two versus one stars is there are a few sweet people at the front of the store. But the pharmacy is consistently poor service.
I go to go to minute clinic that I scheduled drive all the way there and waited 20 minutes and they send me a text saying sorry! Your appointments canceled! … no one even comes and tells me. Ridiculous. Next time don’t put the appointment times and don’t wait 20 minutes after my time to tell me. What a waste of time
I would give negative stars if I could. My daughter is on a medicine that needs to be picked up within 4 days of her lab results. Labs came back on Wednesday and doc sent in prescription in a Wednesday. I went on the pharmacy app and it said they had the prescription and that it would be ready by Friday afternoon. Went to pick up the med and the tech said there was no prescription but that they would reach out to the doctor to get one. Since it was a Friday afternoon, he said it wouldn’t happen until Monday, which would be too late. What happened to the prescription is what I want to know. I called the after hours physician who verified that a prescription had been electronically sent on Monday. After pulling teeth with the triage nurse, because I knew I would get nowhere with the pharmacy, they got one calked in 8 hours before it would have been too late. When my daughters doctor got the message on Monday morning, she called CVS pharmacy to find out what had gone wrong, the tech hung up on her. Now I am trying to find a new pharmacy.
I wish pharmacists would give their names when you call, there is one woman that is always very rude when you call---it sounds like you're inconceniencing her by calling. It seems like lots of people in these reviews have dealt with the same woman. I don't want to give less than 3 stars because otherwise I find their services to be great, but this woman really makes the experience frustrating.
AVOID PHARMACY AT ALL COSTS! Especially if you have Type One Diabetes, or honestly any illness where your medication is a requirement for your survival. If I could give 0 stars I would. I went in to get a supply of Pen Needles. I'd had an issue with my insurance holding up my normal supply and needed to purchase a box without using my insurance. Unfortunately, this is a common reality with my illness. Without my pen needles, I can't get the insulin that keeps me alive and allows me to eat. The person that "helped" me refused to fill it because it was "a prescription drug and I can't just hand this to you". I showed her multiple times the script that I had showing I had a prescription, not to mention the 20 years they have on file of my filling this same Rx at CVS but the worst part is, I didn't even need that. Then she told me she couldn't fill my request unless I ran it through insurance which, by the way, is considered insurance fraud. She was so rude and condescending I just left and went to another pharmacy that thankfully were MUCH kinder than these people and actually understood the law. To add insult to injury, when I called to tell the manager what happened, he asked for my personal information, stating that he could not "resolve the situation" without it. All he had to do was google to find out that even if I didn't have a prescription which I did this was actually breaking the law see below from law H.P. 1327 - L.D. 1776 An Act To Allow Pharmacists To Dispense an Emergency Supply of Chronic Maintenance Drugs*, violating my civil liberties, and leaving me without access to medical supplies I cannot live without. I'm literally shaking as I write this review, it was that upsetting of an interaction, and I pray that this review will save someone else from what I had to go through. Protect yourself or your loved ones and find a different pharmacy that deserves your trust. *Sec. 2. 32 MRSA §13786-F is enacted to read: §13786-F. Dispensing of emergency supplies of chronic maintenance drug 1. Definition. For the purposes of this section, "chronic maintenance drug" means a medication prescribed to treat a chronic, long-term condition and that is taken on a regular, recurring basis. 2. Emergency supply. A pharmacist may dispense an emergency supply of a chronic maintenance drug without a current, valid prescription from a practitioner
I always enjoy shopping at this CVS. The associates are always there to help I love CVS. I've been shopping here for over 20 years it's relaxing for me
Had an AWESOME experience getting rapid covid testing. It was super quick and easy to make and change my apt online beforehand, the person who gave me the test gave incredible, professional, and kind service. Called me to remind me, great communication of where to go, when, and what to do. Super easy and quick literally about 2 min to answer questions, take temp, and test to do the test, then was allowed to leave and heard my results by phone and text super quickly. Could not have been a better experience!!
I’ve never been treated so rudely or felt so patronized at a pharmacy, what the absolute hell! CVS canceled a rapid test I had scheduled, so I rescheduled a lab test as I need to be tested regularly for work. I walked to the appointment as this location is close to me. The inside was closed due to power outages. I walked to the drive through window to see if there was any chance I could take my test at the drive through. The lady who received me looked to be in her 50’s, I unfortunately didn’t get her name. She informed me that CVS doesn’t service anyone on foot for the drive through, which is fine by me. I then was going to ask her if I should reschedule for another day and if I could get a rapid test or some other form of lab test. Instead she interrupted me, told me I “should know better,” then baby talked me and said, “You should go get a car, right? Come back when you get a car? You should get a car.” I felt my blood pressure spike and had to leave before saying anything I would regret. I’m going to assume CVS trained her to treat people this way, because she seemed completely fine giving this kind of verbal abuse.
Had the worst experience visiting the Minute Clinic at this CVS location - do not go unless last resort! The check-in kiosk wasn't working to check in and the store was a complete disaster. One of the restrooms was also disgusting. The nurse practitioner was lovely and the only positive note from the entire experience. Once I was finally able to see someone, the pharmacy was so behind that it would be hours before the basic prescription was filled and it was sent to a different CVS location. The other CVS location still took two hours to fill. The store are extremely understaffed and the employees were working really hard and looked discouraged. Highly recommend going somewhere else!
The pharmacy is a disaster. I would give it a negative 5 stars. When I called and asked to talk to a supervisor I was told not to worry about my concern. I got blocked in with someone waiting on a Covid test for 90 minutes! Instead of asking the person to pull ahead they left everyone blocked in. The pharmacy pick up is broken . I was told to come in when I called and asked what the hold up is. What do I do with my car?!?!?! I DESPISE this CVS. Because my insurance only allows me to have a cvs fill my prescriptions I am stuck.
