I was discharged from the local hospital this evening with severe pneumonia. The hospital sent three medications over to the CVS pharmacy. My husband got there at 6:30 PM and picked up what he thought was all of the medications that the hospital sent over. When I got home and looked at my medications, I couldn't find the inhaler it was prescribed. There were only two out of the three filled. My husband got right back in the car and drove less than a mile down the road to get my third medication, which was the most important one, the inhaler to get me through this Evening until the antibiotics kick in. He was behind one car in line and pulled up right at 6:59p when the lady in the window got a complete attitude and explain that the reason it was never filled as because it's not covered by insurance. She provided No option to fill it. No apology for not telling him not even 20 minutes ago that there were three medications, however, one isn't covered. Would you still like us to fill it for you. Nothing! Just allowed him to leave without even mentioning the non-covered inhaler, which was the most important to get me through tonight. I would've paid $1000 out of pocket!!!! I don't care if it's not covered by insurance. As a pharmacy tech, a pharmacist whoever you were you need to educate the patient When there are x amount of medications But only x amount are covered. Not just ignore the medication in total. The pharmacy is now closed, and I have nothing to help me with with my intermittent breathing issues. I will be back in the morning To pick up my medication and ask about this issue and the incompetence That took place this evening. Do better CVS!!!!!!
Visit #1- my doctor wasn’t certified to write prescription. Visit #2- prescription not in-stock could have mentioned this previous visit. Visit #3- line 10 customers deep, guy in front of me said line hasn’t moved for 10 minutes, so I left. Visit #4-finally able to pick up my prescription but for whatever reason, pharmacist had a sour attitude and wouldn’t volunteer any information. Think I’ll stick with Walgreens.
Melisa is extremely rude. Not helpful at all. Yelled at an elderly woman who was trying to find a way to pay for scripts. Argued with me after I showed her text that CVS had sent. I would have let it go but again today I witness her telling a person that maybe they needed a new dr. The man was in shock as were the others in line. So she either had 2 bad days or she is just not good at communicating and seems to have O compassion.
This store's pharmacy staff is amazing. They closed at 7. I got there just at 6:50. I needed my son's prescription tonight. They waited patiently on me while I tried to find his insurance ID. They got that. The system kept messing it up. His insurance came up inactive. It wasn't. They teamworked it and got it all figured out and stayed well after closing time just to help me. I was so grateful. They were super kind and friendly. They went above and beyond tonight and they all deserve a raise in my opinion. I was helped by Angela, Melissa, David, and Dylan. They are all excellent at what they do. Thank you all so much!
The employees at this CVS are so extremely nice, and I really appreciate that. I also am aware that you are overwhelmed from the Beverly Hills location closing. However, the fact that I can pay for my prescription online but then I still have to wait with a bunch of sick people for 30 to 45 minutes to get my prescription is just bad management. You should have a place to where people can just pop in and grab a prescription they've already paid for that has already been filled. It would cut the line down substantially and encourage others to pay online as well. When we get the same prescription month after month, we don't need counseling or anything else. Just a pickup and go option. You could also stand to hire more employees. I'm sure there are plenty to choose from because of the other CVS locations that have gone out of business.
As a consumer, you try to be understanding of extenuating circumstances like this location being short staffed and having taken over the Beverly Hills locations clientele but the issues this store has have been across the last three or four years. The pharmacy staff are miserable 90% of the time, they have on numerous occasions gotten information incorrect and don’t have the prescriptions ready or available. Tonight I sat in the drive thru for 24 minutes, got to the window and sat another 8 minutes before being acknowledged.
I walked into a very well stocked and clean store today.I was able to get everything on my list...guided by the coupons that I had....and thanks to gentleman at the cash register was able to check out quickly.
Went to get medicine. All were ready but one. Said I will be back. An hour later, still not really. Then I find out they never filled it and I need to come back tomorrow. Do better CVS
Do your self a favor and find another pharmacy for your prescriptions. We have been trying to work with this pharmacy for several years but they just get worse and worse in their customer service. My husband who has a serious illness and is on a lot of meds has always used CVS. I have witnessed some near postal reactions of frustation in the store and am rethinking even entering the store. I have told him either change to a pharmacy that at least pretends to care about their customers or he will have to pick up his own meds. I have seen a few hard working caring individuals working there but they don't seem to stay long. I think unless management changes there is no hope.
The service at this CVS is the worst. I miss the CVS in Beverly Hills a lot - I never had a problem with the store or pharmacy regarding finding what I needed or customer service. Citrus Hills CVS sucks at both.
