This is where I get all my prescriptions filled. The pharmacy does a good job filling all my prescriptions. The store is product selection is that big but they do have some nice things and I LOVE the coupons. The employees are always friendly and the store is always clean.
I just picked up a prescription, and was helped by Miranda. It was SUCH a breath of fresh air to pick up a prescription without a side of attitude or rudeness. It has been so bad that I actually dread going to this location. It was SO nice to have a personable person with a smile! She was so sweet!!! I did have to interact with someone who was not even half as pleasant but that's besides the point
CVS Tampa Rd has been my pharmacy for 8 years with impeccable customer service and care. Working in the pharmacy takes a lot of concentration with little room for error. Thanks for such a great job!
I’ve always had good experiences with this pharmacy until three weeks ago when I went to the pharmacy for pain medication after having a c-section. My doctor had called in the prescription that afternoon, and we arrived 5 minutes before they closed after being discharged from the hospital. I even got a text message they received my prescription a few hours prior and since it was only a few days worth, I didn’t think it’s be an issue. When we arrived, the Walgreens team member stated he needed further insurance approval and it would be longer than 5 minutes, so come back tomorrow. Since I was in lot of pain, my husband just asked to pay without insurance. Even after that, the manager came up and said now they cannot get the prescription filled because there are only 2 minutes to closing. She was so rude with zero companion and directed us to another closed location in Clearwater. When I looked it up, it showed they closed at the same time and she stated we could drive to Tampa’s 24 hour one, which is over an hour away. Luckily, our on call doctor moved the prescription to our local Publix where the pharmacist even stayed 15 minutes later to fill the prescription.
When sent to get antibiotics the staff here where quick and even referenced me goodrx a app to reduce the amount you must pay, they provided me with my needs and the app even gave me some funds back in the form of a digital card that can be used on one of their many options.
The rude pharmacist everyone is referencing is named Courtney M I believe not sure because she refused to give her name otp but claimed to be the manager... had to call my usual store for the mangers name I can’t believe she stays employed in a customer facing role - based on the 1 star reviews about a rude female pharmacist it looks like she’s been there awhile. Unbelievably nasty - if you hate people so much why would you pursue a career in dealing with customers?
This review is specific to store #2842 on Tampa Rd in Palm Harbor.Rude pharmacist and staff. Slow service. I have filed a formal complaint after being told by the staff that they wouldn't fill my prescription because there was a shortage and they were saving it for their "regular " customers. I have gotten many rx's filled at this and other CVS locations . I have filled this very same medication at this store and others as early as last month. I wasn't aware that in a state with 847 locations I am not considered a regular customer if I use more than 1 due to job, and home, location. There are probably 50 in my county. I will never use this store and I'm aware they don't care but this isn't for them. This review is for the others who are in my area who may have received the same treatment. Get out of a customer facing role if you can't treat customers with respect. And to the nasty female pharmacist I spoke to, may you have the life that you deserve.
If CVS can send automated emails and texts for information I don't need, they should be able to do the same for prescription updates. If a medication is on back order, why can't CVS notify the patient? it has been radio silence and I had no word. I'm not even sure if they had it in their system correctly. DO BETTER CVS! ETA: 5/2023: Have yearly HIPAA training. I don't want the my RX read off at the drive up window while others are behind me. If the website can abbreviate the names online, then the staff can do the same.
Whoever answered the phone today from the pharmacy was extremely condescending and rude. I asked how long till my daughter's third prescription was ready, and she said that phone calls and customers walking in took precedent. I asked if I should go home or come back because I have her with me. And that the prescription was from the ER last night. She told me when they closed last night and opened today, like I was stupid. Which I knew already. If there was another CVS by me I would be going somewhere else. All I was asking was a ball park of how long it would take.
Do you people at corporate not have any idea how bad your reviews are? I'm giving you another one star. My family and I have been getting prescriptions for 30 years at Cvs, Just changed all my scripts to Walgreens. I don't remember ever being treated so badly by a pharmacist as I have been in the last few days. She is new at Tampa Road in Palm Harbor and replaced Mark who was just wonderful - he worked his a** off and at least had some interpersonal skills . Are you just hiring anyone right out of pharmacy school who wants a job without knowing what kind of people they are???
