Not a place I would recomed for friends and family Food isn't really good. I ordered Benedict eggs with salmon special and the salmon tasted weird. I also tried the Swedish pancakes but did not like them. I ordered a chai latte and the cup had the lipstick from the previous costumer gross Service is super slow, I know they are short staff. . . Breakfast and drinks take for ever they have a bathroom inside no parking, you will need to park on street pet friendly if you eat outside. They have tables at the entrance and at tha back
Wonderful, quaint, friendly cafe. Staff was so friendly and even got to chat with Cynthia herself. Cinnamon roll was incredible top 3 for me- flaky, buttery, light, but also gooey on the inside. Breakfast sandwich was also delicious. My SO’s classic breakfast was a gorgeous and yummy spread too photo credit to her. Patio seating was protected and comfortable while also full of trees, natural materials, and quirky artwork. Everything that makes this island great.
We had a lovely breakfast here - Swedish pancakes with lingonberry sauce and French toast. Both were delicious. Brought home a cardamom roll - it was out of this world! Pretty setting, friendly staff - we also had a nice chat with the owner, Cynthia. Will definitely be back.
Cynthia's is the perfect local dining place. Beautiful outdoor patio garden seating, great friendly staff, and delicious home made foods. Excellent experience and perfect place for a quick coffee or mocha to go, too. My family and I have always loved dining at Cynthia's for many years and we highly recommend this local gem!
Nice family own cafe. We ordered classic breakfast and fried egg sandwich. Good and friendly staff.
This is a great little restaurant. My son and I stopped in for breakfast on our couple hour excursion to the island. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was excellent, I had the Eggs Benedict. The eggs were cooked perfectly, even my picky son loved his Classic Breakfast. Well worth the stop!
I've read the reviews and can solve them by slow down, take your time, enjoy your coffee and travel with cash. I liked it. Everything was as expected. I feel they try real hard to make it an enjoyable dining experience and it works. You can dine in or just grab a coffee and handheld eat or sweet to walk. My coworker and I both enjoyed our breakfasts. As a small business owner myself I understand the convenience fee for a card. I travel with cash and always tip with it. It is usually preferred and if you know how cards work there is no reason a business should help pay for your next trip to Disney with your rewards points. Cash with a positive personal word will almost always be better received and get a genuine kind word in return.
The food is very good, I would recommend this to anyone. However, the day I dined at this establishment they were very short staffed and we had 18 people in our group. The end result being that we had a very good meal, but it was certainly not a quick meal. I've heard that it isn't uncommon for the service to be on the slow side, but it is in Friday Harbor where "Island Time" is a way of life. So relax, and don't be surprised if your meal takes longer than you'd have expected to get to you, and remember that your meal will be worth the wait.
Loved this place. My sister & I went yesterday for brunch and I had the Turkey Romance, and my sister had the avocado boat with smoked salmon. I finished my whole sandwich which I rarely do, and my sister really like the Boat but the smoked salmon was a little more salty then she is used to, but she doesn't eat a lot of salt. Highly recommend.
Yummy food for what we ate and great chai tea. Turned off by the display case with flies landing on the pastries and food - gross. Also there was a hair stuck in the cheese in my French onion soup.
