Northeastern University is ranked number one in the nation for Best Co-op Program, according to U.S. News. Based on my own personal experience as a former student in Northeastern’s B school, I would absolutely agree with this assertion. It was no doubt because of Northeastern’s global Co-op Program that I had complete and total access to worldwide opportunities. When I attended Northeastern, I acquired four different professional overseas experiences, completing two years working and studying in Europe before graduating college. Another really cool thing is that Northeastern has a highly ranked entrepreneurship program and a highly praised entrepreneurial ecosystem open to any student through the student led venture accelerator. Recently, an NU student raised over two million dollars for his tech startup to help schools manage and track their busing routes. Furthermore, in addition to Silicon Valley and Seattle, you’ll be interested to know that two of the fastest growing innovation districts in the nation are Cambridge’s Kendall Square and Boston’s Seaport District. So at Northeastern, you will have access to many companies in these leading innovation districts for Co-op opportunities as well as for full-time job leads after graduation. Not to mention, like I did, most Northeastern students have a well-established professional network by graduation, which translates into their getting hired more quickly and often by one of their Co-op employers. Further, both Boston and Cambridge are extremely beautiful cities that have a lot to offer. And because there are so many colleges and universities in the Boston area, there are many highly educated and fascinating people to get to know. It is also worth mentioning that over the past several years, Northeastern has been consistently ranked as one of the top innovative universities in the nation by US News Most Innovative Schools Ranking. Again, I absolutely agree with this assertion. Northeastern’s innovative education has taught me to value the richness, uniqueness, and completeness of my time attending Northeastern’s B School in Boston and all of my diverse and dynamic experiential learning opportunities. I learned that a superior education, success in college and in life is not only about being engaged with your subjects, but also about being fully engaged with the world. And I found that Co-op helped me to do just that. Additionally, I found best friends for life and real mentors in my professors.
MBA Graduate from 2020; non-traditional student, online program. • Student services team were amazing! They follow up frequently and help support the flexible needs of non-traditional students. • Amazing professors! The courses provided real-world application from real-world knowledge taught by people who not only were “been there done that” business professionals - but were professionals that led the way! I can attest to the real world application of the knowledge gained having advanced through my career into ever increasing roles of responsibility. The information and knowledge I gained from thei program has been instrumental to my success. Met some great folks in the program with whom I am still good friends! I went from HATING accounting to being able to write all four financial reports by had, on a napkin, over a few beers was demonstrating the reports and purpose to a friend. 110% proud to be a NEU D’amore-McKim Alum!
Pretty good professors.
