Building off our storied reputation of excellence and quality service, the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel in Wethersfield serves families in South Hartford, Wethersfield, Rocky Hill, Newington and the surrounding areas.After residing in Hartford for decades, the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel moved to its present location in Wethersfield in 1978. Our chapel and arrangement center are both located on our 4-acre property, which backs up to rolling farmland. With a small stream and plenty of vegetation, our location is home to many birds, deer and other wildlife, creating a peaceful, calming atmosphere."

Shane and the team at D’Esopo handled EVERYTHING with such compassion, professionalism and understanding; before, during and after the services. Shane was even available for me after-hours for any questions or concerns that I had. Everyone at D’esopo really goes above and beyond. The entire team from the funeral director, Shane, to the team staffed on service and the makeup artist, all were absolutely amazing! My families experience with D’Esopo Funeral services was wonderful. The staff was caring, patient, respectful, and supportive during the whole process. We unfortunately had to change the date of the funeral postponing it for two days due to a snow storm. The staff changed everything seamlessly and advised us how to change our plan. My mother and family were treated with kindness during the whole process. We will never forget any of the staff and their kindness. Our family highly recommend D’Esopo’s for funeral arrangements.
Planning the funeral of a parent is extraordinarily difficult and sad, in our case made a bit more challenging because most of us live out of state. We recently lost another family member . As we continued to grieve our first loss we had to make preparations for another loss. Shane and Ally were amazing to work with, they made the process absolutely easy and everything was beautiful. I will always be grateful for their kindness and support during this difficult time.

If funerals can at all be pleasant, this was the case. everything went to perfection, from the chapel, to the staff.
