Ice creams good. They were out of the blizzard I wanted but whatever. The employee seemed less then thrilled to be there but she did her job. Clean as far as you can see. And the " not responsible for cross contaminated " is ridiculous. My friend has a allergy to peanuts. Made sure they were aware but hey 'their not responsible'. Lol
OK. I'm going to freak out because the most important thing in making ice cream is not the creamy texture. That's a falsehood. It's not the consistency either because temperature must be precise which gives you the creamy feel on the tongue and it provides the consistency. Temperature is critical. I got ice balls in my ice cream today. The flavor was good but that ruined everything. So the machine was about 3 degrees too cold. It has to be deadly accurate or it's never going to be dreamy. I do dream of the Dairy Queen often. But today I got the Ice Queen.
Don’t let your teenagers work here. Especially if they are not white. The manager, Carol is racist and has been heard discussing other teenagers that have worked their in a negative light and using racial slurs openly. What a terrible place to let your child work. I feel for any parent who lets their kid work there. They can contact me Directly for more information.
The royal pb fluffernutter is ok would've been better if just pb not reeses all you taste is chocolate dont taste marshmallow. And i ordered a med diet coke for 2.69 geeze how small was that change your sizes
$2.99 for a Small Cone.......the SMALLEST cone I've had anywhere. Smaller than a Baby Cone. They serve food and have seating but NO restroom. I can understand why they weren't busy at lunch time.
Have to drop my rating of DQ. The change in my old go-to, the Dilly Bar to a factory produced product is very disappointing. An awful imitation ice cream product that is half the size of the original belly & swirl missing covered with thinner coating, but since there's so little ice milk between layers of coating the mouth feel is of more coating. Please do not subject Buster Bar to this changeover. Since our DQ doesn't serve food your menu would be reduced to cones and Blizzards.
I luv DQ, me and my son come at least once a week for a quick treat... The drive through is normally always crowded and cars spilling out into brodhead road which gets hectic. I can't blame DQ for that but more so the customers who can't merge correctly into the drive through. Unfortunately the last 3 times we've gone there's been paper in our ice cream. At 1st I thought maybe I dropped it in there somehow. The 2nd time I definitely knew it was the workers and not me, this 3rd time there was enough paper to write a book sarcasm. But seriously you guys have to be more careful. I'm glad it wasn't something dangerous. Will I come back yes I just hope they take this review serious and make some changes.
Just went there. Supposed to be open till 930.Girl was rude told me they were closed while people were in side getting waited on.
Brownie Sunday and vanilla ice cream cone can't be beat on a beautiful May , sunny afternoon!!
Visited the DQ in Gettysburg twice this week. Yesterday for our evening meal cheeseburgers and fries for both of us and again tonight. The 2 for $4 again - cheeseburger and fries for hubby and a blizzard for me. Hubby finished the food and went back for a cone before I was done. Price is right and the ice cream really hit the spot on this 88-degree day... Can't ask for more than that! Update: 7-24-23 - Stopped today on my way home from babysitting and was surprised to find they no longer offer the cherry-dipped cone. They now have a "churro" dipped cone. Had my heart set on cherry, but tried the churro flavor. I wasn't impressed and won't be getting it again. Cherry is MUCH better. Disappointed...
