Life seemed more than I could handle as a child, adolescent, and young adult. I always suspected that everyone else had gotten some type of how-to manual for dealing with the world and somehow mine had gotten lost. As a result, I walked into my first therapist’s office at 25 and found the hope that life could be good for the first time. My simply being willing to ask for help set in motion a series of life-changing discoveries that have brought me on an amazing journey to myself. In the therapist’s office, I felt truly heard for the first time. I didn’t realize until then how alone I had felt and how detached from my body, feelings, and self I had become. I know how it feels to struggle with feelings, events, or a life that doesn’t make sense. I can help you find your way back.
My grounding in traditional psychotherapy has been invaluable in giving me a therapeutic and ethical framework from which to operate. However, I always felt there was more to what my clients were dealing with than could be touched by talk therapy alone. It was when I was introduced to Family Constellations in my own healing journey that I began to see the larger picture I had always suspected was there for my clients. Our lives are shaped not only by our own experiences but by the experiences of our family as well.
