Teen Court is "court" for first time misdemeanor offenders who admit guilt and voluntarily participate in the process.
What is Teen Court?
Teen Court is a court for first time misdemeanor offenders, who admit guilt and voluntarily participate in the process. In lieu of the offender’s case being held before a judge, the offender’s case is heard before attorneys and adjudicated by a jury of their peers. Upon successful completion of the sentence, the case is dismissed and will not be bound over to District Court for adjudication.
Teens also have the opportunity to volunteer to participate as volunteer as juror or attorney.
