"MIR MUSIC is a full service music store and school. We offer instruments in Brass, Woodwinds, Strings, Percussion, Ethnic, Guitars, Basses, Mandolins, Banjos and Ukuleles as well as much more. We also offer a full-service repair shop along with a full rental fleet. In addition we have 10 teachers on staff to teach almost all instruments!!! We have a recording studio for you to record yourself or your band. Plus we have five student bands that perform outside the store that are just awesome!!! We look forward to seeing you and providing service to the community!"

I had an old, busted up guitar that I got as a tip on a job...it collected dust for years. I took it here and it's basically a brand new guitar now, it's beautiful. I'm planning to take my old acoustic there tomorrow, see if they can help me figure out what it actually is.
THE BEST EVER! They had everything I needed and more. The prices are reasonable. Every person working there is totally helpful and equally qualified. I felt seen and heard as well as being cared for as a customer. Please visit this store you will not regret your time and money spent.
We rent our band instrument from them. I like that they are close and take care of any problems we might have with our instrument. They have a great relationship with local band instructors. I don't like going to pay for the rental each month there is no auto pay. We chose to pay multiple months at once.
I paid a premium for "better strings" and "better bridge", only to be EXTREMELY disappointed to come home and practice on my instrument and my A string broke in half the first two minutes of playing.. Jack didn't show any empathy, knowing I just picked up my cello two days prior.. Only saying "well yeah you'll need a new one, and giving me a new price.." My concern is I was sold FAULTY DEFECTIVE EQUIPMENT AT A PREMIUM PRICE. Instead of offering to make it right, he tells me I need to buy a new one. I will never again come this store. Be careful with these people.
Great little music shop in downtown Hillsboro. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Well stocked with a huge variety of price, quality and types of instruments. They help coordinate music lessons, do instrument repair, sales, rental and so much more. Whether you are looking for something specific or just wanting to find something new and interesting, this is a great place to go. A real gem of a shop right in the old town heart of Hillsboro. Parking can be challenging at times, but it is worth the hassle.
They are chill people. Nice and not very talkative but chill. My daughter is renting a trumpet, great option before she decides to buy as she is new to this instrument. For $18 a month for minimum 3 months she gets to learn the Trumpet and decides if she enjoys it. We may buy from MIR in the future if they take care of us.
They have a lot of different instruments with a lot of different price ranges, from beginner to professional and also offer lessons when you buy a new instrument
I was looking to buy a tenor saxophone and they where so nice and they let me play it and gave me good advice.
Bought a well-used Epiphone Alleykat and immediately brought it here for a setup. It was in rough shape, but Nate gave it a thorough inspection and put the shine on it at a great price. He turned it around in less than 24 hours, and I couldn't be happier.
We are very grateful for the older guy who took the time to check my daughter's new electric guitar with so much love and kindness. It is a shame that I can’t say the same thing about the guy who was fixing the guitar next to him, he was very rude and unwelcoming even with his coworker. I visited today 10/18/22.
