5 stars wish I could give them more my granddaughter was in a terrible wreck in mt pleasant and flown to children's hospital in Dallas my car overheated on I-30 they were there in minutes helped me off the road and gave me a ride to the hospital I can never thank them enough thank you Rowlett PD ! officers k Lynn and M Pierson ,I will never forget your courtesy and professionalism, you make Rowlett shine! Also want to thank the motorcycle officer and Rowlett fire department they are all the best, once again Thank you !
The facility is a little outdated. They had a beautiful Christmas tree decorated in blue and white. I went with my son to get a copy of a police report, which ended up being a media report, not what I needed. He had fun playing on the phones while we waited. He got into a little trouble when he kept picking up the dispatch phone. A lady opened the blinds behind the window and rudely said "Can I help you?"...I had to apologize for my son's playfulness he loves phones. The police in Rowlett make me feel safe to live in Rowlett, they certainly helped a lot after the 2015 tornado. Thank you for your service!
We love the Rowlett police department. Living in Rowlett over 10 years and never had a bad encounter. Anytime we've called for help, they're on scene within minutes. Very helpful and friendly. They get rid of the drunk bums begging strangers for money that have become almost a daily occurrence. They care to keep us all safe and work hard to maintain the peace of this family friendly town we love so much. I'm proud of my police department and they make Rowlett a better place. If it wasn't for the RPD, this town would be a mess. Thank you all for your dedication and hard work you put in every day. Stay safe out there!!
I love the Rowlett PD. I’ve had several experiences with them over the years for multiple reasons and they are always timely, professional, and pleasant. Keep up the good work!
Just saw James Freemans video on you tube of Rowlett police being human. Impressive. 7-27-22 Edit for 7-22-22: Well as I received a personal experience from Rowlett the other day I felt the need to update this. Do you deserve 5 stars anymore, probably not but let's just discuss what the law of 573.004b says. Basically the part where a person is a harm or a harm to others. Based off this alone all 10 officers on Friday morning July 22 2022 should now be in jail for committing harm to another against his will You can't just take someone to jail because someone they do not know called in. ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU won't look at the evidence, that there was and only 2 minutes to save tax payers money. Honestly this is the most time I will waste with you all as you already cost 4 days of the calendar from your ignorance to learn. Consider this my complaint and report all in one You all are helpless when it comes to serving the community and hopefully no more harm has been done other than committing someone, out in 3 hours by the way. Please learn from these mistakes. I wish you and your families well. Officer Free*** I hope you just had a woke up on the wrong side of the bed day. MR. Crankypants. Did someone pee in the man's cheerios this morning. I would say you are the oxymoron of public service based off my encounter. Help your self before you help others please. Who ever the chief is I would highly suggest Officer Free*** goes for a involuntary evaluation and bet you he does not come back... Food for thought now. Just because you don't know something does not make it null like a nullified jury. Haha. You towed my truck as well and that cost me. By the way those people harassed me all day long. In your town why I tried to cash my check to get my truck out. Lol. Didn't leave till 9pm from the tow place. Your welcome to investigate the cameras and be real heroes if you want. Wal-Mart, Wells, Gas Station, whataburger, tow place. Look at the faces, clothes, cars, license plates etc. Older guy in front of me at Wal-Mart but different shirt at the gas station later. They went through them all throughout the day. Pay close attention to Walmart. Now mind you this actually takes a little effort to do this but I'll bet you get some nice audio as well. Any questions I'm here. Gonna have to do a 3 till you do investigate though.
We moved here in 1994 to escape the traffic and issues with more dense population. We LOVE it here. So easy to get around, very little traffic and only 30 minutes from downtown. Fantastic little community on the grown.
Officers are rude and add more stress to any situation. One particular officer is not allowed to come to my home. Wish I could use his name, but afraid of what would happen. Also I had a year of torment from my next door neighbors. You have to go thru some lady who just wants to be done with , I went in with all kinds of documentaries and she refused to view them. I don't feel safe here anymore
The Community Development department is just nonexistent. No one EVER answers the phone or returns a phone call even after leaving messages. No one responds to emails. They've shown that they do not care about the residents of Rowlett. They only care about themselves and receiving their paychecks that our taxes pay for. They have proven to be completely useless.
Wow, even today 20 years after Devin and Damon Routier were killed by AN INTRUDER Yeah I said it, people are still talking about the # of unsolved home invasions, and being charged themselves for defending their homes and lives, on your website. I can see that the Rowlett police are still as incompetent and dishonest as the inexperienced investigators and forensic investigator was, in the Routier case. Beware Rowlett, make sure that you know how to save your own life, and anyone else who is injured if someone breaks into your home or you may be accused of murder like Mrs. Routier was by the first cop on scene. You just might be put on death row if you can't. God forbid you ever have to go up against the prosecutors in that county, if they are anything like Greg Davis or Tony Shook, they do anything they can to preserve their conviction rate. Oh and also, don't have any plastic surgery, a jury of your "peers" might find you guilty based on your "materialistic" nature, like Kerri Parris, juror #8, did. The elephant in the room that people who took an oath to protect the communities, should never miss..While you were rearranging and withholding evidence to make Darlie Routier look bad, what if you let a baby killer walk free? That question should be enough, to make you people reopen this case and reexamine the evidence. SMH
This officers at this particular police station rock! They came and helped me with my garage and car. They were soo friendly, respectful and nice. Restored honor and trust with the blue.
