It’s a beautiful beach area for kids and pets in some locations
A great little place for a day visit… such a wonderful little beach.
This week featured some of the lowest tides of 2021, so we headed up here to experience it and it was wonderful. You can check tide levels on the NOAA website and they post readings/predictions check WA -> Damon Point link for high and low tides. I am posting two pictures taken just 1 hour apart, and you can see how much the tide situation change within minutes. That giant piece of rock in picture 1 was no longer visible. We hoped to see atleast one star fish and saw 100's of them. Just walk around and look in between the rocks, they will be hanging in there. All beach visitors were friendly and welcoming, and most of them were interested in collecting stones, and rocks. Someone even spotted a whale and showed me a video of it, i was very impressed but it did require them walking "4 miles" in.
You want agates this is the beach to walk. Tons of good size ones, especially in the off season when not a lot of people around.
One of the coolest spots, if you look closely you can find starfish and little crabs, the ocean is peaceful and generally a great place to really reconnect with the planet. 10000*would go again. Also, watch your step, those little crabs always pop up out of nowhere.
If you love to search for rocks and seashells this is the beach for you! We spent hours on this beach looking at all of the rocks and shells. Beautiful view and clean! Just try to use the bathroom ahead of time- they only have a portable potty and it was not clean or kept up with recently. Otherwise it is a great beach and makes for a nice long beautiful walk!
Nice for a long walk down the beach with plenty of dogs, surfers, and sea shells.
Have a walk there few days ago. It was not as windy as other part of Ocean Shore beaches. It was around 6 pm, saw some pelicans flying back and forth. We did not have enough time to walk to the end. May be next time.
A great beach for a nice, long walk - great shells and rocks. Saw a bald eagle on the harbor side.
Damon point is a beautiful beach in Southwestern Washington. It is a long hike out to the point about 5 miles round-trip. We witnessed a rescue in progress, a small inflatable boat had overturned and the occupants needed rescue. The current and waves can be overwhelming in this area, please be careful. The beach is well known for finding agates in the gravel bars we found several nice ones here.
