Damon's Grill and Sports Bar Sandusky

We were seated right away, waited on within 5 minutes, then waited over an hour for our food. We had lost track of time talking and taking in the beautiful view of the lake. When our food finally arrived, it was dangerously undercooked and lacking sides and toppings. We received an apology and $0 bill from the waitress who was very sweet. Aside from the waitress, we were basically ignored by all the staff. There seemed to be only 3 people running the whole place. We are so disappointed as this used to be a wonderful restaurant with great food. I would be surprised if this place is still open next year. I have never had a worse experience in a restaurant.

Sadly this used to be my favorite restaurant years ago in Toledo so imagine my excitement knowing they were opening one in Sandusky where I now spend a lot of my time. The owner of this establishment needs to review customer satisfaction. The food is horrible and the restaurant smells awful like it hasn't been cleaned well. Even the appearance of the floor is awful. Its in a prime location too with a great view of the lake! A location like this should be packed all year around yet it is dead during prime hours of the day / week. There's your sign.......you need to make some changes or you're going under. Until there is a serious turn around, I am no longer visiting and I suggest others not to visit as well. For the money I could have eaten two meals of much better quality.

Waited over 30 minutes for a table when there were many open booths and tables. Terrible service, over 45 minutes to get our salads then another 45 minutes for the food. Steaks were so tough couldn't even cut them and almost raw, ordered one medium and one well done, wasn't even close. Absolutely the worst meal I've ever had. Manager was apologizing to everyone. She should, I'll never go back!

This place is awful!! Waited forever for someone to wait on us. There were only 5 of us and only 3 other people or families there. The onion loaf was grease logged and tastes burnt. The spinach artichoke dip was cold, and watery with about 10 chips on the side. Serving size was as small as a little coffee cup. 8.99 way way over priced. They were out of everything it seemed like, couldn't even have a salad because they are out. I give it a 0 out of ten. Oh wait, the diet Pepsi was good.... Service was so bad the other tables waitress was refilling our drinks...

Our group of 17 had reservations for 6:30. Finally got seated at 7:45. It took 1/2 hour just to get anything to drink. My meal was good once it finally got there. One person in our party got a steak that was thin and dried out. Another person ordered mashed potatoes and gravy. They brought the gravy in a plastic cup that was right out of the refrigerator and was still cold. A couple people never even got their meal. The table behind us was complaining so much the manager was in tears. Time to shut it back down.

We invited friends from Toledo to have lunch because of the wonderful view. Our first loaf of onions was so well done that they couldn't even be picked up. Then our server said that she gave us the wrong order and brought us a whole loaf. These were better, but were so over salted that we couldn't eat them. Several of us ordered the pulled pork sandwich. The pork was hard and in chunks that couldn't be eaten. We were given a discount. I was so disappointed because Damon's used to be wonderful and was crowded all the time. It was sad that even though there were only several tables of people. We still had to wait 1/2 hr for our bill. I hope the management will get it together before it closes again!!!

Sad to say that the service here was pretty bad. The waitress clearly heard me what I ordered and I got a completely different meal than what I ordered. Food was good. Air conditioning was not even on and the staff complained it was hot in the restaurant and so did we. With all of the disaster no offer was made to comp part of of the bill. Sadly the restaurant location was right on the water in a wonderful location. Hardly any one there. I can see why. Too many got bad service per other reviews after the visit.

Unfortunately, this place is awful. The floor is sticky which is horrible considering the floorplan consists of carpet mostly. The quality of the food has gone down significantly. I ordered the Chicken and Broccoli Alfredo and something in the dish was spoiled. The wait staff was very nice and offered to replace it with something else. I declined as I didn't want to add to the food poisoning. I would give it 1 star but the wait staff was great. We had a vegan family in our party and the waitress worked with the kitchen to get them a dish they could eat.

I have never written a review on a restaurant before nor have I ever walked out of a restaurant before receiving my drink. We waited to be seated for 20 minutes. The host was not paying attention to us in the waiting area until I stuck my head around to find him. Finally once we were seated our waitress took another 20 minutes getting our drinks..we never received our drinks because our table of 6 walked out. I am a server and I could understand a bit of a delay if they were extremely busy, however, there were barley any customers. I am very disappointed and would absolutely NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone. Unacceptable.

Absolutely terrible, won't ever return to the restaurant. Waited 20 minutes to even be acknowledged about wanting to be seated. Without the restaurant being busy. Placed orders for drinks, 20 minutes later, there were no drinks served. The manager made no legitimate attempt to keep our business. How the staff conducted themselves was pitiful. Will recommend not going there at all, that is the only recomendation they should ever get.
