The park was nice as was the beach area. Only downside was the duck/goose droppings that were abundant. Also a bit on the pricey side for non residents $35 per adult. I think children were $25
Sometimes I pass here and the bus stops..and I see the view of candlewood lake and the hills around it and I'm reminded that I live upstate! With its lakes , streams and grassy areas..I lived on long island and love to be upstate, even if it's southwestern Connecticut! Lol..this is a wonderful picnic place. Just bring the kids n let them play in the water and on the kiddie gym.. it's a quiet vibe so don't ruin it with boom boxes and beer drinking! Enjoy!
Great park with an awesome view on the lake. Definitely recommmending a visit if you're in the area.
Town park in Danbury that is has beach on candlewood lake. It has a small park for kids and changing rooms for the beach as well. During the summer months you may have to pay admission to enter the park on certain days. However, if you live in Danbury, admission is free if you show them ID.
Danbury Town Park was good, plenty people were there, lot of children, game, music, children having fun in the park. Parents were talking to other parent. The Park was clean. Everyone was in a joyful mood. Each parents have their mask on. We saw some birds they were making. Noises, they sound like they were singing. It was excitement all around. Happy I went.
The park is beautiful. As non resident $35/person seems excessive. There is a hose to rinse off but no showers. The swimming area had algae. There are motor boats allowed in the lake so there is some oil in the water. There is a road with traffic just next to the park but the whole area is fenced so children are safe. They have 2 lifeguards in duty. The playground is cute. The scenery is beautiful.
Nice park to watch the 4th July fireworks
My kids...Crystal and Christopher always spend kids time there...the addition of basket ball Court....is just amazing vision from our kind Mayor Exposito...congrats on legacy of Mark Boughton...amazing town to live...
Love taking my little kids to the playground and then to the beach. They love it here.
Nice place overall. We spent an afternoon here with friends and family. You can do grilling, play volleyball, picnic, sunbathing, etc. The water is pretty nice. Definitely family friendly. The bathrooms though were not very clean and there's a lot of duck poop everywhere. Price is $15 for out of town people and $5 for residents.
