Daniel A. Lewandowski, a lifelong resident of Rockford, Illinois, earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Public Administration from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois, in 1995. He received his Juris Doctor degree from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois, in 1999.
Attorney Lewandowski is admitted to practice law in Illinois, as well as the Federal Bar for the Northern District of Illinois. While attending law school, he was a law clerk in both the Cook County State's Attorney's Office and Winnebago County State's Attorney's Office. He began practicing law as a staff attorney with Prairie State Legal Services in Rockford, Illinois. After working there,
Attorney Lewandowski joined a local firm as an associate for a few years. In 2007, he joined a partnership to form Woodworth, Rabbitt & Lewandowski, P.C., and in 2008, he opened his own law practice.
Attorney Lewandowski has over 14 years of trial experience in family law matters in Winnebago, Boone, Ogle, Stephenson, and McHenry Counties. He successfully brought and won on appeal an election law case before the Illinois Supreme Court. His primary areas of practice are in divorce, custody, visitation, removal, orders of protection, adoption, child support, maintenance, probate, wills, powers of attorney, guardianships, and elections. Attorney Lewandowski is also a trained Guardian ad Litem appointed in family and probate courts.
