I see a lot of negative comments, and have no personal experience but just I wanted to commend SGT Danny Truit for his outstanding protection of the Constitution during a 1st amendment audit that was posted on You Tube. Most of the audits I see are failed miserably by law enforcement and other public officials. This was the best example I have seen if an officer who understands and protects the constitution. Nice job!!! We need more like you.
Simple traffic stops are guaranteed to get your vehicle searched by the sheriff on the side of the highway late at night. Totally worth the safety risk to search a vehicle that simply has a tail light out with a single female occupant. The officers must be drunk. They make lane changes with no turn signals and use their phones while they drive. But if you do, watch out, you'll be considered suspicious and have your privacy violated.
Justice for Caleb James. Every single person that even looked at his file in this office should feel such a deep shame. The world is looking at you now, these are your 15 minutes. You guys make me sick.
Watch the Caleb James case on Jody Barr’s media channels, they definitely knew the killers family and tried to not investigate. Very incompetent and I would NEVER live somewhere with law enforcement this stupid and untrained.
So you guys call yourself a sheriff's department but send an officer with no training out to a homicide that completely gets the whole case wrong. This is completely irresponsible and just all out wrong. Just because you work at a sheriff's office doesn't make you cop or even a good one at that. Pitiful.
For as long as sheriff James Hudson Jr. is in position you are not safe in this county. Incompetent, runs away from thier screwups, doesn't care to investigate if your a victim. Expect no help from them. Don't move here.
Captain Bryant uses intimidation to try and prevent written complaints about his officers. With this guy's attitude it's no wonder some of his officers act how they do. These guys act above the law and they shouldn't.
As a Disabled Deputy Sherrif and Corrections Officer I have nothing but the best to say for these guys, they have their hands FULL ,like I used to tell the criminals I had to arrest or keep behind bars, Please I'm Way Overworked, let some of us get a break from this madness and Just Do RIGHT and OBEY THE LAW! It's not that hard or complicated.
Will give a 3 just because some cops do try.But I can't seem to get the to monitor a small road across my property used by renters.I have had to flag them down to ask them to lower the volume of the radios in the car so I don't have to hear it in my home.More than once the people driving couldn't understand me they were so drunk.On one occasion they offered me a shot...to say they were sorry.They didn't remember the last time I asked.They have kids in the car sometimes.When and if they stop this they can get a five star ratting
I would like to thank all of the Darlington County Deputy sheriff's for doing what they do and putting on the uniforms everyday to help keep the public safe. Thank you so much for the jobs that you do.
