How Davina’s Swim House began:
Davina started out working at a swim school for 9 years while completing her high school and university studies. She started teaching a few clients privately in their back yards in 1998. Over the next 5 years, demand for her services increased and she decided it was time to make it an all-year- round venture. In 2003, she established her swim house by designing her own pool specifically to facilitate a positive swimming environment for teaching.
Since the opening of her own swim program, her business has grown progressively, which can be attributed to her successful teaching style and standards. Through actively teaching, Davina has mastered a unique teaching method/approach that is very hands-on, directly teaching each student and specifically addressing his or her individual needs.
Davina’s Swim House has a low 3:1 ratio for all her classes up to the leadership levels. Even in the leadership classes there is still a low teacher-to-student ratio.
The Growth and Expansion of Davina’s Swim House:
In 2005, Davina’s husband Geovanny joined forces to help with the expansion of the school. Their teamwork has resulted in significant growth (over one thousand students!), while still keeping with the original philosophy that was in place in 2003. Davina still trains all of her staff herself, with the help of Geovanny, and together they maintain the highest standards of teaching and meeting individual needs.
