Great experience every time we have been to this library. Not very busy usually, always an open computer, and very quiet with lots of quiet study knooks. WiFi is decent. Printing is 5 cents a page. They have a lot of free events you can attend. We went to the Hogwarts Escape Room for Adults and had a blast, there was about 15-20 people in our group working together and it was pretty challenging and engaging that we only had 3 minutes left before timer expired. Plus it was free!!!! Highly recommend this branch and all they offer and the staff is really friendly and helpful too. Very clean!!
My kids love the library! This location has a cute quiet children's area tucked in it's own corner, which is really nice. I can sit and see all the kids choosing their books. They also love doing the scavenger hunts that the library puts up every week or so. They also have craft kits for the kids to take home.
A Library refreshingly not run down or crowded with the homeless. A nice place for families or to just stop and read for a bit.
Good library. Good selection of books - I’ll get more that in a second. Good staff. Lots of programming across all age levels. Free internet access. Easy to get a library card. Really important - this is a no late fee library. Just bring the book back and they are usually just pleased as punch to call it even. I applaud this kind of forward thinking. A note on selection - this library is linked with all others in Davis county - so you really have access to much more than is physically here. Make use of that and the helpful website to make requests. Another note on selection - do indeed find out about the Libby app. With it you can access many many books and audio books, and once again you have access to so much more because Davis county libraries are part of the Beehive Consortium, a nearly statewide network. Try Libby - it’s free with your library card and it’s fantastic! One last note - Weber and Davis county have a reciprocity agreement. You can get cards at either.
Clean and organized. Friendly staff but I didn't really engage with them much. I wish they had a bigger selection of new releases or must reads as I admit I don't know many authors by name. Perhaps I'll ask for a recommendation never visit.
I would give it 5 stars for the books. However the customer service is less than 1 star…never been to a library where the employees are so boisterously loud you can hear them from every point in the library and the extra rooms, where kids are allowed to be louder then that as they run and scream and throw books on people’s feet not angry at the kids just showing as an example And yet when a mere 2 year old has a tablet volume up barely loud enough to hear he is targeted as being too loud , while even the older sibling using their own with the volume louder is ignored. This review is 1, for bad customer service as I’ve seen them get rude about someone getting keys for room rental as little as 2 minutes early or just not letting said people use the room reserved for them… And 2, for targeting easy prey in young children when they DONT OBEY THEIR OWN QUIET RULES.
What a great place. The wife is taking a quilting class once a week for the next month, and we're down a car, so I'm driving her up, and then need to fill 3 hours. Went to the library and got bored with an hour still to kill. I discovered a scavenger hunt type game they had, and all of the wonderful ladies were having fun with the whole thing. I realized driving home that I've NEVER run into a librarian that was grouchy, rude, or mean. They're always friendly and happy. It's probably bably because of all of the books!
The people who work there are very personable and helpful. The library itself needs updating and need more books.
Nothing wrong with the staff or customer service always love coming here as a kid and it’s super easy to access the computers! but they let junior high or high school kids hang out there and make out who knows what else in the bathrooms I had to run to the restroom and run back out because all the stalls were taken up with four feet in each one with lips smacking like come on Layton isn’t ghetto but it’s sure going that way with letting these unattended children make love in the bathroom stalls of a library it’s just disturbing and makes you uncomfortable to go there or go back….
Love coming here. Always great help and my kids love this place!!!!
