Davis County Memorial Courthouse

I had the worst experience getting my marriage license. I called every week for 3 weeks to schedule an appointment near September 15th my wedding is October 15th. First time I called they said their books weren’t open far enough out, their latest appointment was sept. 11th. They said call back in a week. So I called again and they said their books weren’t open far enough. I mentioned the September 11th appointment the last Lady had mentioned. She said “well my books aren’t open far enough. Call back next week.” This happened 3 times so I just scheduled an appointment to get married so my license wouldn’t expire. So the day of my appointment it was scheduled for 11:15 am I get a call at 7 am and they said my appointment, literally my wedding day, Was canceled and to call at 12 to set another appointment. So I did and luckily I got an appointment at 1:30. We get there at 1:20 and call the number on the email sent to me. Straight to voicemail 3 times. We walk in and ask a security guard what to do. He gives us a number that wasn’t even close to the number on the email. We probably didn’t get married until 2-2:10. Very frustrating.

The people at the courthouse were extremely helpful with providing my Colleagues and me a link to attend an online hearing on WebEx back in November. The person who answered the phone when I called was so polite and helpful.

I have called this office a few times regarding a traffic violation and the clerk I have spoken to, Alissa in case she gets kudos for this, has always been incredibly kind and helpful.
