The Deane School has been teaching students classical ballet, tap, jazz, all-boys tap, modern, pointe, Little Stars pre-school since 1973.
A truly great dance studio can be measured by the quality of its ballet program. Most other forms of dance begin with the study of ballet. Many of our graduates have gone on to be featured dancers in ballet companies all over the United States and also have become dance teachers.
Proper dance instruction fosters ease of movement, music appreciation, sense of rhythm, camaraderie, discipline, and longevity.
Deane students, past and present, are like family to us, with many generations returning for instruction by master teachers of various disciplines. Faculty includes: Jill Silverman, director of ballet at Dean College; Cynthia Marnik, master teacher of jazz, tap, and theater arts; Alison Dulak, ballet instructor, former member of Granite State Ballet; Artistic Director and Founder, Georgia Deane. Other instructors include Krestina Alward (ballet/pre-school); Laura Flanagan (jazz); Jenna Brown (modern).
