I picked up a Free Ham for my Mother in Law with a gift certificate that she got from Motor City Casino.
Not a bad place to deliver to. It’s all first come first serve but avg 1.5hr to unload truck. While you wait they have a store on the opposite side of where you deliver that serves sandwiches and it’s a little grocery store. Overall one of my favorite stops to deliver and i usually grab some things in their little grocery store for my truck.
8/8/23 I've been shopping here for 40 years now and still love it. I often buy lunch to go from their grill after getting my meats and other food products. Try out their BLT Sub or the Delicious Brisket among MANY choices to pick from.. I LOVE the Double Smoked Bacon and the Pork Chops as well as the all Beef 5 to 1 Hot Dogs. I also love their Ham and Spicy Hunters Sausage. I usually pick up Bread Sticks to munch on as well. They have most all of your basic grocery selections for those who prefer one stop shopping. Outdoor seating available for those who stop for lunch . Plenty of Handicap accessible parking available in the lot or on the street. Rick Zorn
What a Great Place to shop for fresh Meat s, Sausages, Cheese , and other specialty items! This store front is very clean and the staff is very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable! Their bone less spiral hams are heavenly in flavor and taste! Their staff is readily available to fill you food requests! This is a must stop if in the area or if your look ing for a short drive! One specialty cheese to be sure to try is the “Hoffman’s Extra Sharp Cheddar” creamy smooth taste with out the harshness of aged Cheddar ! Must Try!
Retail store is awesome. Needed 15lbs of smoked kielbasa and picked up some fried peanuts on my way out... could've stayed and perused longer if I wasn't in a hurry
First time visiting the store. Old world feel, super friendly, didn't allow enough time to shop for more. Definitely going back.
The smells that come from this business into the neighborhoods are disgusting and abhorrent. The trucks on the loading and unloading docks block traffic almost daily at multiple times each day on a street that is literally one of 3 main access points to the business corridor and to the local elementary and intermediate schools. This business is a horrible neighbor to the surrounding community.
Perhaps the best breakfast sandwich you will ever eat. Biscuit, cheese, egg, and a patty of Dearborn Sausage made on site. Absolutely sublime. Visitors to Detroit should make a morning visit part of their itinerary. Absolutely sublime.
The sweet BBQ jerky is quite possibly the best jerky ever made. Always tender and flavorful. I haven't found anything that comes close. Having said that. I can rarely force myself to buy it at the only place I can find it in my area. I am all for a small local business turning a profit. My wife owns one. But $7.00 for 3 ounces is insane.
So amazingly good, love all their products, especially the spiral ham! Place smells awesome just walking in, since the factory is right across the street. They even do sandwiches. Not to be missed when in the area and worth a drive as well
