Encouraging people to think & talk about their own & loved ones' death & dying. With the intention to increase appreciation for our lives and loved ones.
We organize free meetings of small groups to think and talk about death and dying. Discuss our experiences with the death of our friends, family members, including pets. And our ideas of what death might be like.
What the dying process can be like. How we feel about the (im-)possibilities of modern medicine. What we would and would not want at the end of our life and how we can ensure our wishes can and/or will be respected.
All in an open, respectful, safe and confidential space, where people can express their feelings.
Increase awareness of death, with a view to help people make the best of their (finite) lives and learn how to prepare for a Peaceful Passing at the end of their lives.
Both Death Cafe and Peaceful Passing of Ocala are run on a volunteer basis. No funds, payments or products are involved. All postings are based on sharing information only.
