Debra W. McCormick graduated from Oklahoma City University School of Law in 1989. Upon graduation, Debra served as a judicial assistant for Justice Robert E. Lavender of the Oklahoma Supreme Court from 1989 to 1996. Debra then accepted a position as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Bana Roberts of the United States Western District from 1996 through 1999. She moved to private practice and became a partner with McKinney & Stringer Law Firm. Six years later, in 2005, Debra moved her practice to Edmond, Oklahoma where she has remained. Debra’s practice involves diverse areas of the law given her depth of experience in working for both the Oklahoma Supreme Court and the Federal Court. Her practice includes civil litigation and appellate briefing, all of which involved a general practice in probate, wills, trusts, guardianship, corporate/business formation, oil and gas and employment law.
