DO NOT TAKE YOURSELF OR YOUR LOVED ONES HERE!!! If I could give zeros, it would be that. But in order to get my review up, it has to be a one. They do not do thorough inspections and do not take the time to care for their patients. Do not waste your time here, drive to Corydon, Chariton, Osceola, at least those places actually have better staff. Instead, they have a gynecologist who says that you either listen to him or get out. And then just loves to fat shame. To a doctor who didn't do their job and didn't prescribed medicine to a child. Now that child has to suffer due to that doctor's unprofessionalism and laziness. I hope the hospital rethinks on some of their doctors and decides to do the right thing. Awful. Awful. Awful.
DCH is a wonderful asset to our small rural community! I've been an inpatient in both metro and mid-size community hospitals. DCH is small, neighborly, and every bit as professional and competent as I have experienced elsewhere.
The very best care I have had. Staff is very caring, professional, and attentive to patient needs. The new facility is gorgeous and so peaceful. Can’t say enough great things about this hospital and ambulance service. The community and visitors are lucky to have it! Thanks for being there when I needed medical services.
Honestly just a bad hospital in general, the staff seems like most of them were hired on because they simply needed staff, the ER and front desk honestly sounds clueless and disorganized on the phone. I’m choosing to go elsewhere and am absolutely not trusting this hospital with taking care of my family.
I had a horrible situation that caused me to have to be taken to this hospital. The problem I have is that I passed out but I could still hear. I could hear MULTIPLE Dr's and nurses accusing me of faking and laughing saying "she won't be faking anymore once I put this Cathedrsp in her". And one of the nurses snatched hair clips out of my head and threw them across the room while also accusing me of faking and being unnecessarily rough with me. You better hope I do not decide to sue. None of you had an ounce of respect. I wish I DID die knowing there's hateful people in the world like you who are supposed to be HELPING PEOPLE but decide to mock them and disrespect them instead.
Took my grandmother here a few years back. They gave her pain meds and said nothing was wrong. We took her to des moines the next day and said if we had waited anymonger she would have died because the mesh in her stomach knotted her insides. 6 inpatient rooms and understaffed.
The staff where professional, explained everything. Some times when you go to an Er, your dehumanized. Not the case here. The kindness was above and beyond. I have to admit that I've never been the easiest patient. So thank you to everyone for your understanding and patience.
Very nice people that work there ..
Went into The ER 3 times because my gallbladder was 5 times the normal size. Told me I just needed to take a dump lol. Scary place for real. Rude staff
Have always taken great care of my family in the ER, great inpatient care also. So glad to have such caring people in our community.
